Harvey B's — Restaurant in Dallas

Ok, I mean who doesn't love the hunt for a great burger? Harvey B's has a really good burger. And maybe you can call me spoiled, but there are only a handful of places in my 50 years, where I have had what I can consider to be 5-star hamburgers,.... But this is pretty damn good, and above average in my book.

Atmosphere/Service: The seating inside is essentially limited to the handful of stools by the window, so this is a take it and go... and by go, you probably don't want to eat it there in the parking lot; as I had to navigate about a small group of people asking for handouts on the way to/from the door but that's not a-typical for the area. The people behind the counter were extremely friendly, almost unusually friendly (in a good way). The popularity of this spot became pretty evident, as I got there around 11, which according to google was opening time, and I was the only one there; however, in just the few minutes I was waiting for my meal, the small little waiting area became packed with people who apparently knew that their website had online ordering, and they were all there to pick it up. A dozen or so folks packed into this small area is quite a bit.

The food: I have to say however; the food was quite good. The flavor in the burger was above average, the bun was nicely toasted, and fries were crisp and perfectly cooked. It was flame cooked, as I could easily watch from in front of the counter, and that little bit of char taste just made it that much better. The choices of burger options were quite extensive, leading me to believe that if you can imagine a combination, they will probably do it up just the way you want it.

Ordered food yesterday. Got two burgers and queso spiral fries. We had the food delivered. We were told 20mins and are just up the road. They called us about a misunderstanding with the order and we returned their call right away to confirm everything. From there it took nearly 40 minutes to get our food. The food came cold, and still wrong. The queso spiral fries we’re not made with queso, but instead a wad of chedder that wasn’t even melted properly. Since it had cooled in the drivers car it was an inedible coagulated mess. When we reached out to a “manager” we were treated rudely and offered no solutions. No credit, no comp, nothing. We’ve been a customer as long as we have lived in this neighborhood which is 4 years. Thats hundreds of dollars spent here. To be hung up on and told “sucks to be you, you’ve already made up your mind” is rude and totally disrespectful. You have lost our business and we will tell everyone we know of...

I heard so much about Harvey B's. Really was excited to go and finally had an afternoon off. The drive-up is what you would expect it's rundown strip mall which can sometimes lead to the best restaurants. Unfortunately in this case it just led to your everyday average restaurant. The onion rings top-notch I have to own that right up front. Unfortunately the hamburger seem to be not 100% beef it seem to be mixed with some filler on the half pound. and taste-wise wasn't that amazing they overcooked my egg the chili essentially had one note one flavor across the whole Spectrum. If you're going to go just don't expect too much experience. And in comparison Barbec's restaurant is so much better. customer service was actually fairly good we interacted with 4 different people helping us just talking to us walking to the menu and getting our food to us very nice and personable so that does that way some of the food concerns but that's...
