Henderson Chicken — Restaurant in Dallas

Chicken is very good, but the service sucks so bad it's enough to stay away.

Wish I could give zero stars, but I had to give at least one to post. I have come here 3 or 4 times previously with no issues. Today was not the case. I walked in & immediately noticed the waiting area full of customers waiting on their food. I was on my lunch, so I began to ask everyone how long they'd been waiting; The answers varied from 10 minutes to 1hr SMH. Still going off of previous experiences, I decided to order after the cashier assured me that my order was already ready (the meat I wanted with the special was already cooked). I proceed to sit down & wait while everyone else that was already waiting began to clear out. As I realize I'm sitting in there alone, I ask the girl in the back of my order was ready & she assured me the meat was but the fries would take one more minute. I sit and wait again.......... After 3 people came in requesting the special (What I had) and they immediately got their orders, I asked the girl in the back if my fires were now done. She advises me that they are done, but the meat will not be ready for another 2 minutes.......are you serious right now??????? At this time, I only had 10 minutes left to get back to work before my lunch break was over (1 hour lunch, might I add) & did not anymore time to waste. I asked for a refund & left. I will never go back again.. I'll stick to Golden Chick. At least they will be prepared for the lunch rush & have better standards of professionalism when it comes to customer service & business in general. The food may be good but the service is piss poor. Walked in and there was no greeting. The workers looked us dead in the face and never acknowledged us. We stood at the register for five minutes while they continued to have a personal conversations and put lids on empty cups while people waited in line to place a order. When we were finally asked what we wanted the lady with the blondish 27 piece hairdo cut us off to say there was a 7 minute wait on chicken. We said cool no problem that means it would be fresh. I asked for a 3 piece wing basket. She said we ain't got wings (yes that is how she said it). We proceeded to place two orders. The first was one breast and two thighs. The second order was for two thighs. After I gave her the second order she turned her face up and said he didn't make that many thighs. If there was a limited amount of chicken you made why not tell us that up front. You had a line full of people waiting for 10 minutes and never made an announcement about what you did have. There was no apology given, it was all attitude. I love supporting black businesses but when you have people like this representing your company it makes it VERY hard. Needless to say we left and so did several other customers. Honestly I won't be back. I will try another franchise. Please hire people who have a heart of service and want to actually build your business instead of tearing it down. I ordered a DoorDash order, the first time the driver stole my food, so I gave it a second try and the second they stole a portion of my food so I called the restaurant and asked them if they had packed the order correctly or if the delivery driver stole my food again and they lady told me it didn’t matter if I didn’t receive my correct order to just come by and pick it up and she’ll have my items that we’re missing at no extra charge, I was worried because I did DoorDash because I don’t have a car, and I had to wait until later that evening to get there, she assured me she would remember and have my food available when I get there. I arrived to the restaurant and sure enough they had my order on standby and got my food to me ASAP only waited 5min to have it packed. I appreciate this type of customer service so much and this work ethic was great it calmed me down and to trust the restaurant I chose to have great food. Each and every time I order now everything is ALWAYS HOT and always complete and nobody steals my Henderson chicken anymore in DoorDash if I could boost up this business in anyway I will every time, my family from out town visits I always recommend this place for great fresh fried chicken seasoned...
