Jilberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Dallas

We got a barbacoa burrito that was an embarrassment. Meat was dry & had been clearly cooks sometime ago. The tortilla was just terrible as well. Everything comes with little to no salt. The salsa is taken away from you for they only have a couple to go around. So like out if 3 salsas you must be happy with one. We got stuck with the red one of which we found out later went down but didn’t sit well. The tostada was fajita literally Taco Bell does it better. (I dislike Taco Bell) The chicle quesadillas came with green bell peppers which I didn’t understand because they didn’t help at all. The chickens was breaded so I’m not sure if it was leftover it I was used to a grilled chicken in quesadillas unless it say’s different. The Chicken enchiladas where very bland again must put salt & that salsa you will regret later on everything. I must say the rice & beans at this place was good & half the reason for the 1 star. The price of fort was fair but what a horrible way to experience one of the best food cultures on the Globe. Besides the very decent bar/fixtures. Seeing that these are hard working people, work smarter. They clearly survive on the charm of being hardworking people who own an establishment. Update #2 (7-24-22): Me and my cousin had to try out Jilberto's breakfast! His shrimp cocktail with tortilla chips (changed out from crackers) was Soooo good 🔥🔥🔥!!! The breakfast was a hit...Thanks for the breakfast run cousin💜💜💜!

I left my purse on a chair this last Friday afternoon, and one of the waitresses, found it and put it away for me without ever even opening my purse.
