Keller's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Dallas

We found this place by searching for nearby hamburgers on Google, and decided to try it on a whim. What a gem it turned out to be! The prices can't be beat, of course, but more than that, the food is delicious!

We were so pleasantly surprised that we went back two hours later for more.

Pros: Easy on the wallet! There are no combo deals (you order everything individually), but that's totally fine when three burgers and a bunch of fries barely cost more than $11. And there's coffee for 70 cents! And chocolate pie! The drive-thru is very convenient, although the wait is slightly longer than true fast food like McDonald's, as expected. I love that I don't have to go inside to order during a pandemic. The poppy seed buns are delicious and toasted just right. The burgers actually taste like they could be homemade, but better! The BLT deserves a shout-out for using actual sliced sandwich bread instead of a bun, and for the generous amount of thick bacon in it! I also like that the grilled cheese sandwich comes with two thin slices of pickle wrapped in the paper along with it (but not actually touching the sandwich, so it doesn't get soggy). Fresh ingredients! Their slogan is actually true: "Just Good Fresh Food, Cooked to Your Order and Made with the Best of Everything."

Cons: Some people might not like the dine-in space that apparently hasn't been updated in ages, but from what I could see looking in the windows, it seemed cozy and perfectly serviceable. Masks are required, which I appreciate, but the two employees that we encountered at the drive-thru both had their noses sticking out. That defeats the entire purpose of the mask and just... looks bad for the business, making me wonder if the workers cut corners elsewhere. I hope not. (I won't deduct a star for this, because it's a tiny issue related to the strange times we're living in and has nothing to do with the food or otherwise very friendly service!)

All in all, this place was a wonderful discovery and will definitely be our go-to burger place...

So! Let me set the tone… I was told to check this place out from a co-worker at my job name “Zack”.. We were having a debate about the best Burgers in Texas! I’ve lived here all my life and never even heard of this place. He’s not originally from here, but makes it his business to check out all the best Burger joints. So, I took my Son and Daughter to try ‘em out and was excited and hungry at the same time. We pulled into the parking lot and was introduced to a bumpy ride of tight spaces; not really a big parking lot. But… We go in and… felt like we were back in the 60s or something. The guy at the cash register and the cooks all stopped and put eyes directly on us. At the time, we were the only ✊🏾👊🏾✊🏾 there and felt the tension just walking through the door. I almost decided to not place an order, but I could see the cook making our food and I watched em the whole time. We got our food and intended to dine in. We sat there for awhile before my Daughter insisted on us just leaving. I think she could sense the fact that I was getting irritated, as others began to come into the diner, they too began to look at us. We were still the only ✊🏾 there. Apart from all of that, I can’t deny the food. The burgers were pretty good and the shakes are really good, classic old school style shakes. If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I have never been to this place before, this is the first time i come here as a food delivery driver for various companies. I came to this restaurant after placing an order over the phone for a client to pick up the food and pay. But when I got there the white lady that took the order started yelling at me saying very rude things to me even cussing me out. Telling me that they do not do orders for one of the companies I work for. I tried to explain to her how this works and she started screaming even more and was more rude than before in front of the other customers there and said she was not going to give me the food or take my payment because they do not do any deliveries with any kind of delivery company. She did not have to yell, scream, much less be rude or cuss me out about it. All she had to do was respectfully say they do no do deliveries through any third party company and to call the compqny i am working with to fix this error. I definitely wont be coming here as an actual client ever after being treated like anything less than human. Please do not order for delivery because you will not get your food. Your order will get canceled by the driver after having experienced such awful service and you will still be hungry. Very disappointed with...
