This place is awesome. I eat here at least two to three times a month. You can get Italian pasta dishes, pizza, or even items from the Benny's Grill Menu, including delicious burgers (even a vegetarian Portabela burger), and one of the best Gyros in Dallas. They also have fantastic sweet potato fries. The pasta dishes are huge and can be shared. Their pizza is out of this world! There is something here for everyone and at very reasonable prices, except some pizzas due to special ingredients, but still worth it considering we are talking gourmet, not typical delivery, about $18 for a 14-in chicken & goat cheese with spinach & sun-dried tomatoes for example. Great place to meet friends for a night out. They also have beer and a TV for those not enticed by the delicious food.
2022 Update: Sadly, my favorite part of this place, Benny's Grill, died of Covid. No more Gyro's, flatbreads, or Portabella burgers. Gone are the amazing sweet potato fries and philly cheese steak sandwiches. Only the pasta and pizza remain. Although delicious, the menu has lost a lot of it's quirky charm, and the food some of the fresher taste it had in the past. Even the garlic rolls are no longer mouthwatering, but pre-made and burnt when they re-warm them before bringing them to the table. I have never left garlic knots at the table before, but I couldn't even bring myself to eat one. While they now have lobster ravioli, and still make fantastic pizzas, I'm afraid I may drop them out of my...
Read moreI had a very bad experience recently, their food is mediocre and the service is even worse. However, it is only like that for the black customers. I placed an online pickup, and once I got there to pick it up, the staff is side eyeing me weirdly. I had to repeat my name several times and eventually I was told I had to show my confirmation by some man. The lady and man at the counter were very rude to me, trying to make it seem as if I am lying about picking up an order. Once i showed them my confirmation, now they all of a sudden can find my order. Now what sent me over edge was the fact that other people who were there for a pick up, just came in and said their name, and was handed food. So i’m trying to understand what was the difference between me and those other people. Then I realized, the difference between me and the other customers is I am Black , and I guess assumed to be a liar. Therefore, I would like to say to the owners and workers of this establishment, that I am very capable of paying for my own food. I am a proud, young, and accomplished black woman, who doesn’t have to go and steal a $30 meal. As a matter of fact, I spent way more at other restaurants in my city, and never had this problem. It’s sad to say that racial stereotyping is still a thing in your own neighborhood. Never eating here again, and would not recommend to any...
Read moreFound this on Google and decided to come for dinner. When I walked in there was just like a lattice wall and the bar to the left. No hostess stand so I was a little confused as to what to do, the manager or bartender just kept looking at me and holding the phone to his ear, finally a waitress walked in from outside the patio and I asked her "ummm...do I just seat myself?" And she responded yea sure you can sit anywhere you want. Apparently there are two restaurants in the same place because she game me two menus to order from. The establishment was decently clean, there were some flies and nats flying around and I did see a couple of ants crawling on the wall 🤔, guess this should've been a red flag. The waitress was nice. I ordered the Mozzarella Bread, which was a French bread loaf cut with a garlic or butter topping and cheese with tomatoes, there wasn't really any seasoning. The bread itself was soft but again there was not really any flavor unless you dipped it in the sauce. For the main dish, I ordered the Works thin crust. It was nothing to rave about, again the flavor could have used a bit more seasoning. The basil on top was wilted and dried because it looks like they placed it on top then put it in the oven so...
