Cute decorations for Valentineās pop up. Mean Girls was playing on the TV and the wine bar was decorated in all pink. It is fitting that they selected Mean Girls to play as the staff was extremely rude. The hostess blatantly lied to other guests about being at capacity. She had 3 available spots. 2 guests decided to leave and a couple walked in after and she told them there were full.
While at the bar, my friend ordered espresso 3 martinis for our group. I was not aware because we were standing at different spots at the bar. I also ordered 3 espresso martinis for out party . When her drinks were delivered I went and told him I am so sorry I also ordered drinks. He was visibly upset. I offered to pay for them, but he sent the newly made ones to another party.
There were pink disposable straws at the bar and I asked my friendās fiancĆ© to hand me one. I have sensitive teeth so I need to use straws when drinking sugary drinks. The bartender got mad at him because they ācount the strawsā.
My friend went to order a second drink and the bartender said she was slurring her words and couldnāt be served. We were confused. She went to Javierās for dinner with her aunt and had 1 margarita 3 hours prior. My friend was not slurring her words. The bar was so loud I couldnāt even hear the bartender fully. My friend was not drunk. When I asked the manager what happened she told me ā your friend left her phone in the table outside and itās a sign of being drunk. My friend has ADD and leaving keys, phones etc is a normal occurrence for her. The manager also said āshe smells like alcohol.ā If you smell like you were at a BBQ restaurant, does that mean you over ate BBQ?
If you want to be treated poorly by restaurant staff, check out Leelas. They deserve a 0 star. This is my first negative review I have ever written...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy partner and I brought my parents here for two reasons: my mom loves wine and they love the show Futurama (iykyk). Itās right down the street from our house and we had yet to try it. Let me tell you, this had to be one of the best places I have been maybe in the entirety of Dallas since moving here. We were lucky enough to go on a slower Tuesday evening and still the tables were relatively full. The ambiance is divine - upscale but not stuffy. Leaning toward a feminine vibe but doesnāt feel exclusive to any group or makes anyone uncomfortable by any means. We ordered a variety of drinks that were all different but delicious. We found out they had pizza and tried a variety of the flavors. My family are quite the pizza critics and there were absolutely no notes, other than āmore please!ā. That night, they happened to run out of a pizza ingredient and ended up offering us multiple options, comping some desserts and pizza for us for the inconvenience, all of which were phenomenal. The service was incredible - everyone was so kind, had good tips and tricks around the menu and the bar, and even took my movie recommendation for the tv. All around, this was such a phenomenal experience and I would literally bring anyone here. Even my partner who is a bit of a food critic had no critiques! There havenāt been many places that weāve been impressed with on the strip, so to be blown away like this was such a refreshing surprise. A must-visit in Lowest Greenville, do not pass this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an interesting experience here. I'll start with the good because it really is a lovely place. It's got a beautiful interior. It's small but that's no issue for me because I was seated at a table. The drinks are inventive and tasteful and if you are here for Christmas the interior is beautiful. That being said, we had to wait almost 2 hours to get in on a Saturday night. And while that's not the end of the world (I've waited for good places before) their management of it was not so great. It felt very disorganized. They had a wait-list but the only way to make sure you got in was to wait out front until the hostess called your name. No text service or anything like that. They told us an hour wait and we didn't want to just stand there so we walked around. We came back 40 minutes later and asked if we could get an estimate on time because we wanted to make sure we got our spot. The hostess made it very clear if you did not respond when your name was called you would be skipped. She told us it wasn't our turn and that she didn't know. So we kept waiting. When she did call names she did so rather quietly and gave someone about 30 seconds to respond before moving on. I understand this place is busy and in high demand but I certainly felt it could have been better organized. They don't allow reservations either. I wouldn't tell someone not to go, but I would say to go on a weeknight and save...
