The wards on this shop are so strong, me and my friends get the heeby-jeebies when we visit, like we are unwelcome. Every time I visited, I felt like I annoyed Serena, despite doing my best to spread nothing but respect and high regard. I tried to stay out of her way when asking for help and making sure she had time to take care of her customers. She seems to suffer from the curse of knowledge or some deep misandry. She doesn't realize how strong the wards are. One time I even tried helping out by sharing something she said that helped me with another customer while browsing the herbs, but she quickly batted that down and said "we don't do that around here." I was about to speak well and highly of her, but she was just rude to me and shunned me away without even hearing what I had to say.... and with a persecutors tone like I did something wrong.
After spending hundreds in the store, you'd think they'd appreciate their customers, but apparently we're not allowed to speak well of the shop owners out loud, nor are we allowed to provide helpful recommendations when we find something helpful to ourselves and just want to share that.
On the surface, she seems nice and lively, but under that sweet smile is a possessive and controlling figure I wouldn't touch with a 10 ft pole.
I'm never coming back to this store and can't recommend it to my friends any longer. They get two stars instead of one because the things they sell are nice and the lady at the front seems much nicer. Stay away from the lady in...
Read moreI fell in love with The Labyrinth my first visit. For a small shop they pack a big punch, carry the usual suspects and many items you do not expect them to offer. They welcome you when you enter, remember you when you return and always try to accommodate your needs. No, they do not have EVERYTHING; for that, you can go online. However, if the human experience is still of high value to you, this is the place. My first visit Unarei graced me with conversation about the Labyrinth's history. On another visit, while checking out, I told Cerina I preferred flannel mojo bags to the cotton bags they carry. "Flannel feels good against the skin," I said. To my surprise flannel bags were added to the collection by my next visit. And on another occasion when the shop was quite busy, Cheyenne took the time to help me gather the items on my shopping list. * For those individuals quick to see imperfections: Do not go there with high expectations, as high expectations usually disappoint. Remember, the shop is run by people, and we humans are imperfect at best. Instead, go there with a sweet spirit and you will be met in kind by the beautiful collective energy of Unarei, Cerina and Cheyenne. Thank you ladies! You are...
Read moreOverall an okay experience. Three people were on shift when I went in and two of them were very friendly but the lady at the door was being very impatient to the costumers coming through who didn’t realize there was a limit or a wait. When I walked in she brought me back outside and said I’d have to wait for two more costumers to check out because I was going in with a guest. Which is completely fine, I also take covid very seriously and I didn’t want to crowd the building. I just don’t appreciate that she made it seem as if I were in the wrong for walking in the building when I just didn’t know what was going on. It was the tone of voice that got to me. My guest went back to the car because the energy just seemed like we were unwanted.
Once I made it inside, the lady working behind the herb counter (I should’ve gotten names but I didn’t.) was very friendly and very helpful, she almost made me forget about the experience at the door. The lady behind the main counter was also very friendly and I even got a card from her. I will come back, as I enjoyed the trip for the most part. I just think that covid is a difficult time for everyone and that store owners should be a little more respectful when their costumers...
