Whatever you do, AVOID THIS PLACE!! Do NOT visit, or you WILL REGRET IT.

This place NEVER picks up their phone!!!! Don't put up a number online if you're NEVER going to pick up. I had this same problem over 2 months ago. In the past, they never answered so I drove all the way there and ordered my food and told them their phone wasn't working and that no one picked up. They were "surprised" about it but never offered any explanation and never aplogized for the inconvenience. 2 months later (currently), same exact thing happened where I'm calling and no one picks up. Such a shame because their food isn't THAT bad but they just lost a loyal customer that has been going here for a while despite every visit turning out HORRIBLE.

Awful customer service. Every time we dine in Gallo Nero, it's never busy. However, all the staff are chatting by the bar not being attentive of the customers. 15 minutes pass by and not one single staff greeted us when we sat. After someone FINALLY came to us, we still waited over 30 minutes for our drinks to even come to us when we sat down. Food took FOREVER...YET our food came before we even got our first rounds of drinks. (Keep in mind there were only 2 other small tables besides us)

Do NOT recommend!!!! Do not waste your time, you will REGRET it.

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would not hesitate.

I will be telling everyone I know not to bother going to this place.

Genuinely hope this place gets an entire new management because they cannot run this business expecting loyal customers to keep coming back after this absolute nonsense.

Go to ANYWHERE besides this place.

Also, they put online that they close at 10PM on Thursdays, yet when we arrived at 9:15PM to order food to-go since they did not answer their phone, they said they are "closed".

This establishment is a JOKE.

• Critics Review * Go!! Cool place, good staff… and tip the bartender if your drinks are over the top. (Mine were! But another story.)

Garlic Bread: Looks great but is on a dense roll. The flavor to bread ratio is off. It will definitely fill you up before entrees arrive. Score: 3/10

Muscles: Not my thing… but everyone in our group (30 people) dove in, loved them, and everyone raved about how good they were. I listened hard for 1 negative… and never heard anything. So… Score: 9/10

Fettuccine Alfredo: Sauce was outstanding. Very creamy and had a great density - and the flavor was perfect. Loved it! Had hints of garlic and a subtle unique spin on the overall flavor. Definitely get it. (Add grilled chicken and broccoli for an amazing meal!!… if they do that.) Score: 10/10

Lasagna: Delicious. Excellent - definitely worth getting. Not over done with tons of pasta like most places. Rather it’s a great balance of flavors, sauce, meat, cheese, and pasta. Just the way I like it!! Score: 11/10

Meat Lovers Pizza: Ok folks… sit back for this one. OUTSTANDING!!! Likely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Super good quality toppings, and combined with the sauce flavors & delicious crust… pulls you in and you can’t stop eating it!!! I debated getting one Togo so I could eat on it later. Yes, it’s that good. Totally the best dish of the night. Score: 12/10 —— Get this pizza!!! ——

Atmosphere: Charming downstairs and bar area. Quaint and cozy. Reminds me of a Manhattan hole in the wall… but with nice warm decor. Has great upstairs area for private events (that’s where we were.) Score: 10/10 for casual dining.

Service: Really good. We all liked our server and made sure he was well compensated. 9/10

Overall Score: 9.5/10 I can’t think of anything to improve. It’s a totally fun nice dive to chill at and have great food. Overall…. Go! Go! Go!

I work in the restaurant industry as a general manager…. I don’t condone and have never had this bad of a service. When the 2 of us arrived the young man had 2 tables prior, he took our order then he got about 3 more tables. My spouse tried to stop him 3 times to ask about my salad but got ignored all 3 times. My salad finally came out then about 30 min later EVERYONE GOT THEIR FOOD EXCEPT US, even the guests beside us got their food and asked have we gotten ours…then when we finally got our order, it was wrong. He brought mine out again then had to wait 20 more minutes for him to bring my spouses food out. By the time he brought out my spouses food I was ready to go because we were there almost 2 hours before our food came out. The bartender could have helped the server but he was too busy watching tv. We asked why our food took so long her said he didn’t know, then We asked for a manager but he replied she wasn’t there. Like really??!!!!! Why is there a manager not there????? This experience was horrible!!!! Where was a manager, where was the servers help because he was there by himself and the bartender wasn’t clearly trying to help him, spent almost 200 for bad service. Mind you, we were the only Black people there which really made us feel a very, very horrible type of way. WE WILL NOT BE BACK TO PATRONIZE THIS...
