Vibey Bar – Exploring HIDE ❤️ Just after Christmas 2018, which for Americans 🇺🇸 is like Lunar New Year for us Chinese—everywhere is decorated and buzzing with excitement. As the weather cools, things to do in Dallas dwindle, so I decided to embrace the local culture and hit up a bar for some weekend drinks. 🍺 ❤️ Deep Ellum in Dallas is like Beijing’s 798 Art District 🎨—a trendy, design-forward area filled with stylish boutiques and cozy cafés ☕️, alongside massive murals. At night, the bar street steals the spotlight, offering everything from quiet lounges to live music spots—pick your vibe. ❤️ The HIDE cocktail bar I visited has no performances or music. It’s small, single-level, and unassuming, yet it’s been crowned Dallas’ best bar two years running. 😎 Walking in, the Christmas spirit hits hard—twinkling lights, a tree, and stockings set the mood. A towering five-tier liquor shelf greets you, stocked with global spirits, while bartenders craft vibrant cocktails 🍸 behind the counter. ❤️ With Christmas around the corner, the place was packed. Solo drinkers can grab a seat at the bar to watch the mixologists work their magic, while groups can snag a table for chats. No host—just find a spot, and a server will swing by. Easy. 😬 ❤️ Not a big drinker, so I can’t judge expertly, but Yelp (like the U.S. version of *Dazhong Dianping*) raves about their **Old Fashioned**—a classic mix of sweet and bitter with a brandy base, served in a chic flat glass bottle (almost art). My pick? The crisp, bubbly **Gin & Tonic** with a lemony zing. 😋 ❤️ Beyond drinks, HIDE serves killer bar bites: double-cheese 🧀️ beef sliders, fried wings, roasted chicken, and cheese boards—perfect pairings. ❤️ Price: Most cocktails run ~$13; with snacks, ~$25/person. But hit **Happy Hour** (Sun-Thu, 5-7 PM) for $7 cocktails—total steal! 😝 ❤️ Hours: Sat-Sun 11 AM–12 AM | Mon-Thu 5 PM–2 AM ❤️ Address: 2816 Elm St, Dallas, TX 75226 ❤️ Don’t wait—gather your crew and soak up the holiday vibes! 😘 #HideDallas #CocktailBar #DeepEllum #HappyHour #DallasNights #BarHopping #ChristmasVibes #Mixology #CocktailLover #FoodieAdventures

One of my favorite Happy Hours in Deep Ellum. Meticulously crafted cocktails are at the forefront of HIDE, but the HH food menu is super affordable with great portions and are full of just as much thought-out flavor as the drinks they make. I usually end up getting a Tom Collins because I can, and it's very, very hard to pass up the $6(!) double burger and fries; although the Tabasco(?) ketchup comes off a little bitter and not an enjoyable spicy to me. Best yet is the popcorn on their menu — it is so so good. It's $2, and a heaping mound of herby, salt/umami-crystal flaked popcorn. Tons of buttery flavor that goes well with/aligns some of the focused aromatics they use in their offerings. Seriously though, had everything on the HH Menu at some point and each item is nothing short of a knockout when based on my classic Cost per Cal by Flavor ratio or soon to be seen in dining out textbooks as the formula — CPC x F. In a couple of visits, I've never had bad service. Even if I had something they forgot or omitted, the staff there was always super helpful, courteous and made sure I was taken care of. They have a new brunch menu from what I remember so I can't wait to give that a shot some weekend soon. Great place.

On a trip to Dallas, for a wedding; we decided to stop by Hide via the recommendations of a trusted friend. We started with shots of Uncle Don (Blanco) given the nature of our visit we had to get things started off on the right foot! The ambiance of this establishment is very chill and I definitely enjoyed my time here. After the shots, I decided to go with the "Always on the Rind"; good but not as refreshing as I was made to believe. After the Rind, ended up selecting the "Electric Lemonade", now we are talking, as this was truly delicious and packed a punch, if you know what I mean. For food: The Double Cheeseburger, literally melted in my mouth! Well done, here team! I will definitely be back and I recommend this establishment to any and all looking for a great time. Cheers,

We popped into Hide late on a Sunday afternoon after the Deep Ellum Art Festival for a quick drink and snack before heading home.

I was surprised that there was only one table available at such an odd time but took it as a good sign. I enjoy gin cocktails but almost every traditional concoction comes off as too sweet for me. However, their Southside cocktail was a stunner. It's basically the perfect gin cocktail with the exact accompaniments to make a high quality gin shine.

My wife ordered a pomegranate martini but was steered toward a hibiscus variant that used an infusion made by our waitress. Apparently, this was truly amazing as well and will now be her "reference standard".

For food, we split some pretzels and ahi tacos. They were both quite tasty, but were a little puzzling for me. First, the pretzel was served pre-cut, when half the fun of a big pretzel is breaking pieces off from various spots. Maybe that's just me and cutting does have the benefit of keeping other people's paws off of your food. Anyway, the ahi tacos had crispy shells and lots of fresh ahi tuna so thumbs up for that. The only odd bit was the slaw served in them was a Southern-style mayonnaise-based coleslaw instead of a more traditional rice vinegar-based Asian slaw. That was peculiar, but still flavorful.

Summary: Amazing cocktails! And, very good snacks no matter despite minor expectation differences.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's a great little bar that will become a "must go" whenever we're...

My wife and I drove from Fort Worth as we had heard that hide was a very cool bar down in deep Ellum, we didn’t expect very much as we don’t go down to deep Ellum very often, however we were incredibly surprised! from the welcome we got when we came in to the unbelievably knowledgeable bartender we knew this was going to be awesome . My wife and I are a wee bit spoiled by going to several great places around Fort Worth and beyond this place was outstanding. We were feeling adventurous so we asked the bartender to surprise us with our drinks, he asked us what type of drinks we like we told him and then we asked him to surprise us, which we do often and he did, the drinks were nothing but superb so we start to feel a little munchy and we ordered some appetizers we asked him to bring us a few different choices everything we put in our mouth was absolutely fantastic, when you add this great drinks great food to a great wait staff it’s a home run, the atmosphere the ambience was cool even though we would be considered a little bit older than the normal crowd they probably get, we did not feel uncomfortable at all we fit in perfectly because they make you feel so welcome. The crowd was very mixed it was young and it was also older the atmosphere the ambience was cool and. If you’re heading down to deep Ellum area You must go to this place it is absolutely outstanding. This place covers the gamut of great service great food and...

My friend and I went to Miracle last night and received HORRIBLE service. My friend and I ordered a Christmas cocktail which was $15 each. We order the same drink however hers comes out in the festive cup as you would expect. Mine came out in a plastic cup? I ask why that is and they say because they didn’t have any clean? Why would you not advise the customer of that and ask them if they still want it or another drink that they have the cups for?!

Then once I advise I will wait for a clean cup because that is what we are paying $15 for not a simple plastic cup, at a CHRISTMAS POP UP! The bar manager brings the drink out and talks to me as if I am the issue for wanting the drink/ cup that I paid for (not sure why he’s the manager if he talks to people that way.)

You order your drinks through the app, so I order a vodka soda. I ordered a total of 3 by clicking the button ORDER AGAIN. This RUDDDEEE female waitress brings me a drink that doesnt even have the same color as what I’ve been ordering and I tell her that’s not correct she tells me to CHILL and rudely walks away. Then as I’m leaving the guy at the door proceeds to say, ai heard you’ve been causing problems?! EXCUSE ME!!

That was my first and ABSOLUTELY my last time going there!!! Horrible establishment with horrible managers...
