I think my teen years were the golden age of pizza buffets, and I’m always looking to return to that time. Sadly, most of the good buffets are gone, leaving us with the formulaic CiCi’s, and little else. I’m happy to report that this fairly new location of Mama’s pizza bucks the trend, not only with good food, but also with friendly employees, and lots of character. Let me point out that many of the Mama’s locations are owned by completely separate companies, so each should be evaluated on its own merit. I do frequent the location in Plano (different owner), and that one is good, but there’s another one elsewhere in DFW that gets horrible reviews and I wouldn’t go near it. The salad bar is small, but fresh, with plenty of options. The pizza bar was tended well, with basic options, like sausage or pepperoni, and also more exotic fare like barbecue chicken and a cinnamon dessert pizza. Ashley was super friendly, and answered all my questions about the history of the restaurant, and why the place is decorated with super-cool, working trains. She also made a point of asking customers what kinds of offerings they would like to see on the buffet. I highly recommend you give this place a try… It is super bright and clean, and a comfortable place to grab lunch!

Mama's Pizza at 11828 Inwood Rd, Dallas, TX 75244 This is just a typical family friendly pizza buffet. I got a chance to eat here during lunch time. The lunch crowd was medium, music inside was normal. They got some TV screens around the place. The pizza was basically a typical buffet 🍕 style pizza definitely better than a CiCi's Pizza not to down CiCi's. Definitely if you're in the area and you're looking for some pizza during lunch time especially this is a good option.

Pizza & wings were just okay. Did go on a Monday night. Nothing special. I think there wasn't enough sauce or something . No disrespect i preferred one of my frozen pizzas or chains. Especially for the price . It was nice to see the variety of sizes . I probably won't be back. Customer service was great. Had lots of space for dine in great for birthday parties for kids.

We love the pizza - just beware if you order via Uber eats - we consistently were receiving a cheese pizza when we ordered the supreme - each time I called the restaurant and they were gracious and sent a certificate for what we had ordered versus what we got - after several times of this happening, I called and received a call back from the “manager” Morgan - she explained to me that when they receive the order from Uber it is entered as a cheese pizza and then the staff has to add the additional ingredients to make it a supreme and said all they see initially is the cheese and make that and that is what is delivered - OK no problem - she agreed that it was a training issue and offered 2 certificates for the pizzas we ordered - that was 2 months ago - I inquired and she said they mailed them out and would speak to their “mail carrier” - I said we didn’t’ receive them and obviously u could see if someone redeemed them - I have the voicemails she sent as well as the text messages - I just don’t understand the radio silence now - we love the food but will probably not order from them anymore due to this weird treatment and she was the one that reached out to me? Very strange - we are small fish in a big pond in the neighborhood but we support our local people, but this situation has made it difficult to support this business - she said she spoke to the owner and her last text said they have “no explanation as to why you have not received from the mail service” - I just assume those things can be tracked with whatever number is on the gift certificate - VERY disappointed in what originally great customer service that is now radio silence - will stick with Campisis…..I have all the voicemails and texts so if anyone wants to see them,...

The buildout of this space is bright, clean, and entertaining (especially for the kiddos). However, the positive vibes stop with the aesthetics as the service and food are lacking. The middle-aged woman (manager or owner) that always wears the pony tail is either miserable, or just presents that way; she can be just downright rude. I ordered the lunch buffet and the young cashier was polite and ended our interaction by saying if there is anything we can get you, please let us know. I said “if you don’t mind, would it be possible to request a thin and crispy bbq chicken pizza,” to which the lady chimes in from behind “or he can just order from the menu.” This was my second visit, and on both occasions this lady was less than pleasant.

Also, despite a tiny sign, almost every customer returns to the buffet with used plates violating local health code. There’s no hand sanitizer near the self-service food or beverage areas. It’s quite off-putting!!!

Finally, the food. Every single last pizza has soggy, wet bottoms. The dough/crust has ZERO flavor.

The unaffiliated location in Plano is great, but the service, food service handling, and quality are all off at this new location.

To the manager’s recommendation, I will be ordering off the menu next time,...
