Village Burger is one of my favorite lunch spots in Dallas. I've been going there at least twice a month since last September, and have yet to have a subpar experience. Their food is consistently good, their prices are fair, the staff is friendly (Sky especially), and space is clean.
My favorite is the Swiss burger. Their beef patties are thick and juicy always, and sweet potato fries are so tasty. I often try their monthly specials, because they're darn good. They had a teriyaki chicken burger for a while that I was wholly obsessed with. I also love that I can get any burger on a salad without a bun, and it's part of their menu.
I've also eaten here for office events and they have no issues servicing a large group. Great Happy Hour specials too! Who doesn't want a frozen Jack & Coke??
When I have friends or family who want to meet during the week for lunch, this is always the spot I pick. Then by the time we're done, it's usually my guests' favorite too.
If you're ever in the Galleria area and looking for a spot to grab a bite - look no further than Village burger. I promise you...
Read moreI had the delicious turkey burger, and the truffle fries were just excellent. They do have their own type of ketchup, which looks like it was hot, but it was not.
What you do is you walk up to the register, and you order your food. They will take your payment and hand you a tagstand for your table, and then will bring it out to you. It is set up where you have to get your own forks and actual knives at a certain area. I believe you can leave your food tray there. At the table you were sitting at.
You also help yourself to your own drinks. I believe if you drink beer or something like that, you have to go up to the bar to get that also. There are servers there, but all I know is they do go back and forth to get things for you, which I'm not certain of exactly what. I did ask my server for another type of sauce.
The manager Mr Prince was very nice and informed me that they also own other restaurants companies such as Twisted Root.
The atmosphere wasn't too bad it wasn't a heavy...
Read moreReally good burgers that try really hard to be really good. We visited on a Sunday after church right when they opened. The staff had that air of not really caring if you were there or not, ordered or not, liked it or not. I mean it's a bar that serves burgers although the menu is huge so you feel like it's a burger joint that happens to have a bar. Anyway, the burgers are great, it's that brisket burger meat so it's got great flavor. No need for that funky "house" dressing that seems like watery thousand island. The bun was fresh and toasted with butter. Bonus. We got the basket with fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. All average, onion rings were burned but I like them really crisp so it was fine. The chips and queso were good not great. All in all a good burger. Not the best in Dallas, I'm not going to rush back anytime soon but if I'm in the area and want a decent burger and it's not happy hour I might stop by because I'd hate to have to...
