Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Dallas

I have been going to this Sonic for at least 7 years and have always loved they're wonderful famous Sonic ice. Then suddenly the ice changed. It's got bigger pieces, so they form a bigger solid chunk the minute air hits them versus the old smaller airiated ice that stays crunchy,...that everyone LOVES! They told us that you could still get the smaller size that you have to ask for it and hopefully if it's not mixed up too much with the big ice then you can still get it. So my husband went through there this morning and he said that he asked for the small ice but when we got home we noticed it was the big ice. So I called the Sonic on Audelia and they told me that he didn't ask for the smaller ice. Ok...I'll accept that so I asked if I could bring this ice back... she put the manager on the phone, Carlos Reyes. He said no we could not bring it back but if he could do anything else to help let him know. I said well you could give it to me free or take this ice back and he said no he couldn't do... that he would get in trouble. I just thought this is such extreme poor customer service over $2.90 which is probably the highest price around anyway for that ice in the first place. But to not give it to me free or do something after all my loyalty... has made me decide to go to another Sonic, even if it's farther. And the kicker is...he said just give them a call first and they would get it ready for me so I said I'm coming shortly...my husband did go and THEY STILL GAVE HIM A MIXED BAG of small and big pieces!!!! Trust me.. This is just 1 of the reasons that this Sonic has such a low rating. The chicken products are always cooked too long so they are dry and the breading gets hard as a rock...it takes crunchy to a whole new level. If that is Sonic policy...they need to cook it about 30 seconds less...chicken nuggets, strips, popcorn chicken, and patties. All the staff is always teenagers and has been for years. They literally ask you if u want your change to try and get tips and I find that very offensive. And if you say yes, they make you wait while they go back in to act like they are getting it for you...meanwhile, my ice is melting or food gets cold I could go on and on but I'm done. I wish they would upgrade this Sonic. Does anyone at corporate read these? At least fix the...

I went and ordered a burger with out mayo, ketchup, or tomato add mustard and jalapeño. To start off they sent the whole wrong meal out. When I got home I realized it and brought it back. They proceeded to hand me what was supposed to be mine. When I got home the second time there was ketchup, tomatoes, and mayo on it. They did remember that jalapeño, but not even the mustard. I wouldn’t normally write a review, but this isn’t the first incident. A few days ago I went and ordered the same meal, when I got home the same screw ups were on that burger and as were the ones today. It basically shows that the cooks are just speeding through and not paying complete attention to the order. Once is easily explained, but two times in a week to the same customer a pattern of laziness and a lack pride in a job well done. I am in the restaurant industry and if this happened repeatedly and someone had the exact same screw ups twice in a week then someone would lose there job. Management apparently doesn’t manage their employees and on the whole this is the store is badly run. From the owner down if they don’t care about good service then it’s a waste of space. Let a business wants to make customers happy...

Exterior could use power washing REALLY bad very grungy under all the exterior metal structure surrounding areas of the exterior restaurant I ordered a rt 44 large ice tea and a coke the same size with easy ice And the coke was made with the easy ice but unknowingly I pulled away headed on traveled over 10 miles before realizing I already sipped almost all my tea because it was filled with ice completely to the top of this large cup with just very little tea As if I ordered an ice cone sweet tea flavor Now the flavor was gone I reached for the receipt to call it in for credit for another large tea with easy ice but out of 10 x I tried calling with no answer So the next day I drove up there to explain and get what I originally paid for and they refuse to remake me another tea unless I pay again for it Ordered a double meat burger and they forgot to put lettuce with way to much dressing BLT only one piece of bacon with very little to none mayo Yet I only complained about the tea being replaced I don't recommend this place if you are in a hurry and don't stay to eat for issues that may arise They need better staff or better training and...
