I orered from this place bc i was in the hospital! First off i have to say, we are Chilean, so we know our Empanadas! I was looking for Empanadas and found this place to be clise to my hosptial so i thought i would give it a try! BIG MISTAKE! i orered around 11am and i FINALLY got my food around 4pm! That was the first issue Now mind you i LOVE ChimChuri sauce if it is done RIGHT! AND IT IS NOT BY ANY MEANS SUPPOSE TO BE SPICY! I finally get my order and see the empanadas are all flat and mushy! NOT HOW THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE! They are supposed to be very crispy! I took 1 bite , and my mouth felt like it was on fire! The spicyness and the hot of the empanadas were TERRUBLE! THE MEAT AND THE CHICKEN WERE AWEFUL! the smell was horrendous! I was sooo disappointed! The food at this place is AWEFUL! GO ELSESWHERE! This is my 1st and last time at this horrid place! My kitty would NOT even eat the empanadas! Simba, LOVES them! I am sooo disheartened to be writing this. Do NOT. Ever come here! Food is HORRIBLE! SERVICE IS TERRIBLE....

I was visiting Dallas for a concert at House of Blues. So I wanted to find a place nearby to eat. Unfortunately, the street parking infront of the cookhouse, I think is 9am-4pm. I got there around 5:30pm. I'm not familiar with Dallas and parking. Luckily I had a parking pass for House of Blues and it was just a 6 min walk to the Cookhouse.

I got 2 empanadas with salsa Verde, sweet tea, and sweet plantains. Pork Al Pastor and Beef & Potato. They were freshly cooked and so delicious. 😋 My boyfriend came with me and even asked for an extra order of plantains, they were so good.

The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Loved all the sitting options. The people who were working, were so kind. We didn't realize they closed at 6 at around 5 mins after we asked what time they closed. They didn't say anything because they wanted us to enjoy our food. I would've totally gotten out before.

Surprised they weren't packed with their customer service and food. Will definitely come back every time I...

My friends and I stopped by after our excursion at the Dallas Aquarium. Upon entrance, we observed the cozy ambiance with cute decorations. Unfortunately, on the day we went, they had run out of pork. Food service took a bit longer than expected, but it did seem like they had a small team (possibly short staffed?) working on everything. The staff members were very friendly though.

I ordered a chicken fajita and beef chimichurri empanada with a side of tater tots. The chicken fajita was delicious! The beef chimichurri was okay. The tater tots were fine as a safe option, but I would pick another side next time. I tried all the salsas - except the chimichurri - and the salsa blanca ranch was my favorite. The Rosa de Jamaica drink was also nice. The taste reminds me of cranberry juice.

Overall, I would try this place again when I'm in the Downtown...
