Maybe today was an off day. This is my first time here and the restaurant is clean and the service was quick but I am left wanting. There is a ton of chicken on the tacos but it was dry; plus I ordered grilled onions and cilantro on the side and I got the cilantro and diced raw red onions on top. The cilantro rice was good but there was either under cooked rice or old rice throughout; there was really hard pieces in it and stopped me from enjoying it. The elote...I was not a fan. It was really watery like the corn was not strained from the cooking liquid and was over powered by lime and I didn't even squeeze my lime inside. One good thing is I bought four tacos and got $2 off, I am not sure if that is a deal since it was not posted anywhere, just on my receipt. Spent about $17 before tip on four tacos and two sides and wanted to give this spot a chance instead of going to fuel city, but I should have went with my gut and stuck with what I know. Parking is also a hassle, there are free spots but there are apartments or something above and the aquarium next door so I had to park a block away in a paid parking lot. I'm not sure if I would come back to see if this was just a bad day but I know I would not recommend.

I popped into Tejas Taco Factory last Sunday because I was in the area and curious. Plus who doesn't love tacos? I placed my order using the kiosk and paid via card. A staff person did pop out from the back and asked if help was needed. I was already nearly through the process so I continued. I ordered a bacon, egg, cheese and a brisket burrito for my lunch. You can see from the pics that the taco came open and the brisket burrito came closed (opened in last picture). Both fillings were tasty and a nice portion. Not huge, but not too tiny either. The tortillas were average but I noticed on the menu that some tacos mention special tortillas. I may try one of those next time. The only reason I would consider removing a star is that I visited the restroom before departing. It is a single room. It had a great door lock but no hook for bags or purses which is awkward for a lot of folks. It also wasn't very clean. Soap and paper towels were available so I made the most of it. I worry about food service places when the restroom isn't great.

Stopped in after visiting the Dallas Aquarium. I ordered a beef steak street taco, Al pastor street taco and the crunchy southern shrimp gourmet taco all on corn tortillas. I also ordered a small chips and cowboy queso and a side of green salsa. The food was hot, fresh and amazing! The Al pastor and beef steak were tender, juicy and full of flavor. The crunchy southern shrimp taco had a wonderful chipotle crema and was fantastic. The cowboy queso was fantastic with a nice scoop of avocado salsa. Chips were fresh and crispy. While the food was fantastic, the service was wonderful too. I didn't get his name; but, the man who helped me was great and made some outstanding suggestions about what to try for the first time and didn't disappoint. Seriously, if you love tacos, give this place a try. Sorry, I didn't take pictures of the food..
