I decided to try this restaurant with two girlfriends of mine when we were looking for a nice place to eat by the Joule Hotel. We wanted to try a place with unique drinks and food and we absolutely enjoyed the ambiance, service, food and drinks at this eatery. The setup is nice with places to eat inside and outside of the restaurant. There are also some TVs around the bar where you could watch a game if you're so inclined. We were able to be seated right away and since we went earlier in the day, around 3pm, it wasn't too crowded and our server was taking care of our table and also working the bar. Our server, Austin, provided us with great recommendations for food. For appetizers we had the brussel sprouts and spinach dip. We loved the crispiness of the sprouts. It seemed like they had been cooked in an air fryer and there wasn't too much oil. The balsamic vinaigrette drizzle was an amazing addition to the dish and we ate every bit of the sprouts and dip. Both my friends decided to try the salmon and they both loved it. One of them also added the mashed potatoes as a side and she said they were very tasty. Unfortunately, the menu online doesn't match the menu we were provided when we were there so I'm not able to give the exact name of my dish, but it was spicy Thai shrimp with jasmine rice and it was DELICIOUS! For drinks, both my friends had the First Lady and they wouldn't leave until they finished the last sip...lol. Again, my drink isn't listed on the online menu, but it was a sweetened version of an old fashioned that hit the spot. I will absolutely be trying this spot again on a date night with the hubby!

Idk if yall hiding or deleting the bad reviews but if yall are yall need to stop. Let me start by saying that I came in on a Saturday evening around 9 o’clock in the restaurant was more than half and empty. My bartender I think his name was Austin was not attentive at all. He never even gave me A water. He barely talked after taking my order and it may be because he was rushing to leave work (probably bc labor was too high for an almost empty restaurant) than to actually care about the customer that he had waiting at the bar. The food is less than subpar. I ordered the citrus chicken and immediately could tell that they were either cooking the food in a microwave or that it just simply was not fresh chicken. I had to choke down the chicken which was insane considering it was like some kind of breast and not a well done steak. Yall definitely made them mashed potatoes with hot water and from a box bc they tasted like the hungry man mashed potatoes you can get at a grocery store . Not to mention my Brussels sprouts that were on the plate were TOO salty. Dallas food already it’s good as is & considering i tried this place based on the previous 5 star reviews I am more than disappointed. The black lady with the braids that checked me out was more than sweet and showed me showed me better hospitality but the damage was already done. Next time imma just save my $50 & put it towards a chipotle bowl with extra Guac & queso. That would’ve been a better $50 spent.

We walked over for brunch around 12:30 on Sunday afternoon during our visit to the Holocaust Museum. The restaurant was moderately busy but we were immediately greeted, seated and had our order taken. We ordered Chicken and Waffles, a Giant Crab Cake, an iced tea and a coffee. The food was fresh, well-presented and arrived at our table in only 10 minutes. The Chicken and Waffles were outstanding-possibly the best we’ve ever had-the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the flavors came together perfectly. The crab cake was perfectly cooked, and the Sriracha Aioli was a nice touch. Sulma-our waitress-was friendly and attentive during our entire visit. We sat outside since it was a sunny day, but I wanted to mention the indoor seating because we loved the chill vibes and modern rustic decor. The restaurant was built in a historic building so there are some interesting ceiling tiles above the bar. There is plenty of table seating and a comfy sofa at the back section. Additionally, it’s a convenient walk from many popular museums and the Dallas Aquarium. The food here is absolutely top-notch and the service is great-I highly recommend 3-Eleven to anyone in the West End!

I would rate service a 2.5 but Google wont let me. Walked in and no one greeted me. I asked a guy walking up to the host stand if I was supposed to seat myself. He said “ yeah you can” and walked away. I sat at the bar. There were 3 servers huddled at the end of the bar talking and laughing ; no one said a thing to me. No one acknowledged me for a good 8 mins or so. Someone finally came to the bar and asked If I’ve been helped. I said no and he briefly explained the drink menu to me. Which was fine, he was polite. Another bartender took my order. I ordered a “Stroll through the grassy knoll” and it was not mixed well at all. All the syrup was at the bottom so when I took a sip it was pure gin and lemon! I had to stir it vigorously to mix it for the proper balance as it was also supposed to have lavender notes. I ordered the Salmon for my meal . The server dropped it off not informing me that the plate was hot and I burned my hand ! The food was bland , I had to ask for salt, the quinoa was undercooked and crunchy ,over all the meal was disappointing. However it was late and I had not eaten all day so I had to make do. On a typical day I would’ve sent it back. To top it off a couple of the servers and the bartender were making poorly hidden inside jokes about my food not being seasoned as if they were annoyed , I’m assuming based on a conversation they had in the kitchen. Lastly I ordered a French 75 and it was by far one of the worst I’ve had in a while. I do not think the bartender is very experienced in mixology or perhaps she has only worked at dive bars. She bribed some patrons with free shots to give her a 5 star review so I highly doubt the 5 star reviews they have are legit 😂😂 I think her name was Maggie . Anyway yall Don’t waste your time going here ! Definitely not worth the money...
