Vail Donuts — Restaurant in Dallas

I would love to give a 5 star review, the donuts were soft, fresh, and delicious! My husband loved the budin and I loved the spinach pastry, we were both big fans of the "cronut" holes, super yummy. BUT.....4 of the donuts i got were ordered with Bavarian Cream Filling. I was actually pretty excited about those after tasting everything else first. I soon found out with the first bite that were filled with Lemon Cream instead, and upon inspection, discovered that all 4 filled donuts were filled with the same. It was ok...Very tangy/tart/acidic... Very OBVIOUSLY Lemon.. it's not a hard flavor to be sure about. So I called out of courtesy to let her know that maybe the fillings were mislabeled And to be aware for future guests of the day.... I tried explaining in every kind of way that I received Lemon Cream Filling. But the lady refused to accept that she had made a mistake. All she would say was "NooOoo" "NooOO" "it's the cream, I put in the cream.. you ordered the cream" "NOoo Nooo NO" ....... Ummm ok lady. All I could think at that point was, if she did indeed put the Bavarian Cream in my donuts, it had to be bad, rancid, just all wrong.. but I'm sticking with it was lemon so I don't get sick about it. My suggestion, just don't order any cream filling if you are getting delivery. Because if it comes and tastes wrong.... She will just tell you that...

Look at this food 🤤. Despite how pretty, it still tastes better than it looks. The donuts are so airy, and fluffy there's almost a crisp melting effect that is so heavenly and it's just consistently a knockout. Even family that don't like sweets never fail to fight over Vail's amazing donuts/pastries. The generous lady that runs the shop is ALWAYS so kind and hospitable; you can just tell she cares so much for what she does and it's a difference that is both felt and tasted. I am so appreciative of this cute family business, and since discovery we've made this a weekly treat and sometimes she throws in a few extra freebies which ALWAYS is appreciated. Great prices, Great food, just 10/10. If you're up early it's such a great way to make those around you smile as they start they day. 😁🥰 Thank you for making my family smile...

The BEST donuts, period! Every time I go, the donuts are fresh and the owner is kind, warm, and courteous. Cinnamon old fashioned are my favorite but I also enjoy their blueverry cake donuts and their light and fluffy cinnamon rolls. Traditional glazed are excellent. The cronuts (croissant donuts) sell out fast. An assortment of kolaches also.

There's additional parking along the side of the building. Great place, conveniently located too. Perfect way to start the day. Be a hero and bring some for your office or...
