TERRIBLE customer service. I'm not sure if the discourteous, rude, dismissive and almost hostile customer service I received at the Frankford Aso Rock Market on Midway in Dallas, TX is dished out to everyone or reserved for African American or any Non-Nigerian or West African. But I can say with confirmation, I WILL NEVER shop at Aso Rock Market again! I entered the store excited about the new recipe Goat Meat Pepper soup recipe I was there to gather ingredients so I could try to prepare at home and Me, my sister and my niece left that store feeling like intruders, dejected and offended by the stores employees to the other African shoppers. The Aso Rock Market - Frankford is a very toxic and unpleasant environment. The customer service is so bad until, I have NEVER written a review of any business until now. I cannot allow anyone else to walk into a hostile ambush that Aso Rock Market - Frankford is. The meat counter guy was unfriendly, I thank him for helping me and his lips never parted to say thank you for shopping with us or you're welcome. I then went to check out, I was not sure if everyone was checking out at the hot foods station or if the market shoppers were being checked out at the registers. We went to the registers and stood and stood there so long until I ask a shopper who was walking around observing if he worked there. He appeared to have been insulted and finally my sister went to the hot food station to ask and a cashier came over to check us out. She never apologized for the wait, greeted us, made any small chatter to know if I found everything and finally at the end of my purchase she wished me a Blessed Day. I thanked her and informed her that she was the FIRST person to offer any sort of customer service.
I was able to give a two star rating because the store is very neat and clean, the cashier did offer words of blessings and after I phone them to complain the store manager called me back to apologize.
Aso Rock Market if you read these reviews, you should know that after leaving your store my sister, niece and I visited another African market, a Caribbean market an a India Market each and EVERY store offed pleasant and courteous customer service. Read moreSo I am changing my review their Jollof rice is worst now, from wash Jollof to burnt Jollof, may be they change their cook, who knows, I stopped buying their jollof rice because it’s so bad even a dog cannot eat it, so I went in yesterday 12/20 to get two plate of jollof rice and guess what it’s a burnt rice, as in burnt burnt. Imagine spending $50 on burnt food. Too bad
People believe I am weird because eating outside is like taboo for me, I mean landing in the hospital attimes if care is not taken. I can’t even eat in people’s home is as bad as that but you see this Aso rock food, my system do not reject it, my blood , my soul accepts their Jollof rice. I don’t try eating vegetables outside, not even the one prepared by some of my family members, eating vegetables outside the one I prep has landed me taking drip at the hospital but this Aso rock vegetables is really nice the two times I tried it. Read moreOrdered 2 spicy tilapia & 2 jollof rice. They told us it would be a hour wait drove from 2 hours out of Dallas. Made it back & was told 4 minutes. Food was ready and tomato paste was smeared all over the supposedly spicy tilapia when it’s supposed to be curry color. Fish wasn’t cooked all the way, told the manager & they made us wait another 30 minutes. Refunded me 17.00 for 1 fish instead of $34 for 2 fish. Drove back to the restaurant for the lady to tell me It was only one fish & she has to call her manager to confirm. He confirmed & said yes it was 2 orders of spicy tilapia, they then refunded me the other $17. Made us wait going on 3 hours just to rob us out of $17. I will NEVER come back to this place again. Im reporting there business as well, I’ve never seen nothing like this before. Then the lady lied as if she would give us complementary meat.
