I don’t know how this place is surviving. They can’t seem to get things right especially with to-go ordering and are an utter let down when it comes to hospitality and customer service.
My experiences here have been incredibly horrible! I placed an order tonight at 8:45pm, June 16th. My order: edamame, agedashi tofu, spicy salmon, 2 spicy tuna, tuna roll, and a noodle bowl. When I arrived at 9:02 to pick up my order they had scratched off the noodle bowl from the order and wrote “out of stock, refund customer”. So you mean to tell me you knew you were out of an item, yet you choose not to inform me? You had ample opportunity to call me. I was vetting the order and find out via checking my order. They didn’t even tell me!! You could have called, sent an email, my cell number that was left on the order accepts text messages, but we weren’t notified.
Manager apologizes and tried to explain that they were just out of it. Again, never informed me. I HAD to ask for a replacement dish also because they definitely didn’t think to offer or ask that, just assumed I don’t need it because you’re out of it.
It’s too expensive to eat out these days for you ,as a business, to provide crappy, subpar customer service.
The Teriyaki bowl I had to order, because they were out of the noodle bowls, had a pile of dried pieces of chicken breast. More than likely because they rushed the order. Veggies, just steamed, no seasoning/flavor, incredibly bland teriyaki sauce just poured on top of the chicken. Didn’t even bother tossing the chicken in the sauce. Did not finish.
Spicy salmon roll tasted off, metallic almost. We couldn’t finish it.
Edamame was cold more than likely because we had to wait another 15 minutes for the replacement teriyaki bowl. Did not finish.
Agedashi tofu, no longer crispy or hot. Did not finish.
Spicy tuna and tuna rolls were just ok but again we did not finish these dishes. They were just too bad.
Food quality was mediocre at best.
We paid $70 for this meal and we still tipped.
I will end on this, the manager offered me a free noodle bowl, as I was leaving, for the next time I visit. Very foolish and naive of you to think I will frequent that place again.
I would not recommend this place or its food to...
Read moreWhere do I start? Service was not great. Waiter was nice but scarce, probably due to the fact that he and one other waitress were serving the entire restaurant.
Wife ordered a salad and I ordered Suimono Soup for appetizers as well as an Ahi Tower and received them 30 minutes later. Appetizers were decent. Ahi Tower was quite small compared to most places we frequent and dry.
Waiter came and took food order before appetizers came. Food came another 30 minutes after we placed the order.
Ordered:
Sweet Shrimp Nigiri- this was good.
Volcano Roll- Cali Roll underneath was decent. Volcano crawfish on top was not a lot and was not very hot temperature. $17
Armand Special Roll- 8 pieces about the size of a quarter served with a dish with unagi sauce and sriracha mayo poured side by side. Flavor was good. Literally the smallest sushi roll I've ever had. $18
Spicy Casa Linda Roll- wrapped in BBQ paper. Sauce and jalapenos on top. Tons of pepper seeds all over. Extremely spicy and not in a good way and we like hot stuff. Burned our mouths all the way home. $10
These rolls were not decent size and were not prepared very well. Casa Linda Roll kept trying to fall apart on us.
None of the rolls or plates we were served came with wasabi or ginger.
$94 and an hour and a half later we left disappointed, hungry and our mouths aflame.
We were excited to have a place like this in our neighborhood, but will not...
Read moreMy adult son was at the hospital around the corner from this place and I needed dinner, so I ran over to place an order to take home with me. It had been a stressful day and since they decided to keep him overnight, I needed comfort food - sushi! The atmosphere at 7pm on a Monday was calm and quiet. I sat at the bar to order. There were no tables occupied nearby, only further back, near the sushi bar. It took a few minutes for someone to stop visiting and come over to take my order. She was pleasant enough and smiled when I asked 'Are to-go drinks still a thing or was that just during covid'? She answered 'We can definitely get you a drink to go'. I did have to ask her to wrap it up - I didn't want to get pulled over with what they may consider an open container! Veronica offered sushi suggestions since I was hesitating, which I appreciated. I ordered the Philly $13, the Spider $12 and a cucumber martini $12 to wash it down. The prices are reasonable and average - and the quality of the sushi justifies it. The service isn't awesome. It seems unless you know the server, you are pretty invisible and that is the problem with many neighborhood places, they try so hard to keep the locals happy that they forget the passersby. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, the food traveled well and the prices are reasonable. Atmosphere: casual Service: could be better Food: -...
