El Maguey Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Dalton

I've only been here twice, first time was for my wife and they had me waiting for 30 minutes on a Friday night. I get they were busy but that seems a little crazy considering I called and ordered ahead of time. Yesterday I went there for all of us, the food is terrible, Tastes like stale cardboard,the tacos were stale and already broken apart when I opened the bag. There was almost no beef on any of them. The Chalupa was a joke to say the least. The rice was very bland, the refried beans also tasted like cardboard. I actually over estimated on the price and it still costs way more than it should have. It was 37 dollars for 2 adults and one toddler. I could understand them charging those kinds of prices if their food was actually decent. But now I feel like I've just been cheated out of 37 dollars and there's nothing to be done about it. I don't recommend this restaurant as they are an example of everything wrong with restaurants in the Dalton area. They charge more because they know they can get away with it and they give you lackluster...

I have been here so many times. I have brought multiple here for their first time. Today I had the WORST experience possible. My waitress asked me if id like to pay or if I needed the itemized bill I said no I trust you guys I've been here so many times. I get a text message from my bank asking me to authorize a $124 bill from maguey. They charged me 65 dollars for a pitcher of margarita. A 32 oz pitcher. When asked to correct it the hostess starts belittle me saying in not so many words how hard it is for a broke person to be charged this much. I am so disappointed in this place and how they chose to handle that situation. Mind you noone apologized they blamed for the upcharge saying I asked for premium margarita.

AVOID this place...

Walk in and head to the back by the meat counter and to the left you'll see a drink machine, some tables, & a place to order. The sides you can order are in the glass case near the ordering counter along with fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and others. I just mention that because it wasn't real clear to me on my first visit. Order and get your drink then sat down to wait for them to call my name when my order was ready.
