Due to Tropical Storm Isaias we were calling and driving around to see which eateries had power. Not being from Danbury we really didn't know what to look for. After calling several places and getting pre-recorded messages we just said "screw it" and started driving down North St. Suddenly we see a sign that said Restaurant and it had an electric OPEN sign on, so we knew they had power. We had no idea what kind of restaurant it was. At first glance it looked like a standard Greek diner. Only after we looked at the menu did we realize it was Ecuadorian cuisine.
OMG! The food was amazing. I had never had Ecuadorian food before, but it was fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly, everything was seasoned perfectly. The empanadas were light and fluffy, like someone's grandmother made them. The chicken and beef were great. The portions were huge and we ate every single bite. I just wish they would serve real maple syrup lol & upgrade the dining area. It is super clean though, but I think it could use a little decor upgrade.
