[NEW UPDATE-8/6/25]......We have now eaten here more than 15/20 times and had a tasty meal every time. Prospective customers need to be creative to find this hidden gem bc it is inside the Estates of Ft. Lauderdale mobile homes , 54th street, just west of park road north...worth the find. All of their dishes are packed with flavor and the experience of eating in a cozy restaurant with friendly owners making sure you are happy ... and never making feel rushed...adds to the enjoyment. Prices are always reasonable.

[UPDATE-12/4/24]This is now our 5th or 6th time eating here as we have now put this place in our regular rotation. The owner, Lice, always greets us by name and is friendly. This time she was slammed bc of a large amount of take-out orders from a nearby shuffleboard tournament, so we knew we would need to wait. Even with that, they made a custom omelette for me (Swiss cheese, Cream cheese, and Onions) which was great...again, as they put the omelettes in the oven at the very end, then not only do the ingredients evenly melt, but the omelette stays warm all the way to the last bite. My girlfriend had the Tuna sandwich and enjoyed that as well. Very good breakfasts and lunches, friendly people (their weekend waitress, Sam is very sweet), and a good small location.

This is the second time we have eaten here and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. I tried the Eggs Benedict and the Hollandaise sauce was nice and creamy. My girlfriend had the Turkey Club and it was a very large sandwich with a generous amount of turkey. We then took home a piece of Limoncello cake to have that night...also very good...especially with a shot of Limoncello liqueur! This is a small (maybe 16 or 18 seats) restaurant in a mobile home community ( but completely open to the public). It has that "Mom 'n Pop," charm to it with one chef making everything and one person taking orders, serving, chatting and doing everything else. Prices are reasonable with this meal (without the piece of cake) around...

ALARMING!! If you look up breakfast, lunch and dinner and you see "The New Lighthouse Cafe" it would be "ALARMING" that YOU passed this amazing cafe up, it is a Diamond in the Rough and that is to say the least. Mrs.Lise (Lease) has an amazing good morning personality all day long and the willingness to know you if you choose. Mr.Carlo is a man of few words, however, if you are like me and love your food made by hand, from scratch and taste more flavors than you care to count due to the flavor fight happening in your mouth and mind being blown, then please go here Mr.Carlo is like I stated a man of few words but a major hidden talent of love for food and how it is prepared for each and every customer. Ms.Carol (Not a waitress!) has an amazing can do and willing to help personality as well as keeping you laughing making you forget about the fact this cafe is in a community. The personalitys here do not clash, they work together so beautifully . The atmosphere here is undeniably beautiful, the food speaks words that I can not. I thank my wife for making me say"where have you brought us" and the next best thing, the prices are untouchable here. Thank you to everyone at "The New Lighthouse Cafe" for who you are and what you do...

I happened to run across an article in the Sun sentinel stateing that they were awarded "The Clean Plate award" that was enough for me and my wife to head there. It's tucked in the Clubhouse community, if it wasn't for the Coffee banner just off the road we wouldn't have found it.. lol. Upon entering we immediately felt a joy in finding this spotless little Cafe. We were greeted with "Good mornings and smiles from everyone". The chef came out from the kitchen to get something and we were immediately introduced. He stood there smiling in his crispy white chef's outfit. We placed our order and sipped on their Colombian coffee. Out came our order on gleaming plates. Everything so fresh looking we couldn't wait to dig in. We loved everything, so delish! We asked for our check and was told " it's ready, just pay at the cashier ". After we payed our modest charge we were instructed to tour the light house and backyard. So we did. It was lovely, it kinda had a Harry Potter feel to it. We strolled around feeling so contented we didn't want to leave. Come here and enjoy the delicious food and warm vibe. I promise you won't be...

If I could give 1000 stars I would. Every time I come to South Florida I stop here for breakfast. Everytime we are made to feel like family. The food is the most amazing delicious food. With high quality ingredients. The coffee is the best and the service is out of this world. This hidden gem is a must visit. The first time you come you question if you are in the right spot because it's in the middle of a beautiful welcoming retirement community. But it's there. Cant wait to go back next month.
