Brooklyn water bagels have the best product! This location unfortunately has the worst management. I was there on a Sunday and expected to be there for a while because that's a busy day for a place like this. I left my toddler in the car with my husband while I went in to get our food to go. The line was long, as expected and I ordered 2 iced coffees, a muffin and bagels with cream cheese- items I expected to receive quickly as they are mostly already made. I was given the cups for my ice coffees and while I was trying to get them together, my name was being called frantically from one of the employees holding a bag. I thought that was really quick to receive my food but realized it was just the muffin and now I had to deal with the muffin in a bag by itself while I was already struggling to make the ice coffees. I finished the coffees and stepped aside to wait. And wait. And wait. When I saw people who clearly came in after me get their food, I finally approached the counter. While I was waiting to speak to an employee, I noticed the manager becoming overwhelmed with the volume of food in the window and start yelling at employees saying "no one knows where this stuff is going!" I hoped that some of the food there belonged to me but once I asked the cashier about my food, she asked the cook and the cook said they would make it now. At this point I was already here for over 20 minutes and I wasn't going to wait for the food to be cooked. I told them forget it, I couldn't wait and to refund me for the bagels. The cashier said ok and then started to help the next people in line. I said excuse me but I need the refund now, I have been waiting for over 20 minutes and I have a toddler waiting in the car with my husband. He can't sit there this long. The cashier said the manager has to process the refund and that's when he finally turned around to acknowledge me. He was extremely rude, processed the refund in a huff and said, "here's your refund and your food- sorry that we can't plan for you leaving your kid in the car". I was livid! I didn't leave my child in the car unattended as he insinuated and that was besides the point! I shouldn't have had to wait over 20 minutes for bagels! It's a shame because I am a frequent BWB goer- I'm from NY and I'm familiar with the location in Boynton Beach (which is phenomenal BTW, food, management, staff, cleanliness, the works) but now that I've moved down here I guess the only time I will get my BWB is when I visit Boynton. I refuse to go back to that place unless they get a new manager...

I have never in my life been treated the way I was treated when I brought back a chicken bacon avocado wrap that was spoiled. When I walked in the girl there ( I use the term girl as she would not give me her name). She was filling up the creamer machine and asked me what was wrong with the wrap after I told her it was off . She had me wait while she filled up the machines and then cam to the counter slamming around grabbing her gloves and asked me what’s wrong v with it. I told her to smell it she did she tore the receipt off the bag and then Told me I paid on line and could not refund it ok I said what is your name she refused to give her other than “cook” ok then I asked her the managers name she didn’t know but wanted my name and phone# so a higher up could call me. I said what is their name so I know what it is when they call she replied I don’t know it changes there is no manager I said what? She says I can call the police and I said for what? Lol clearly she had a bad day. Now I deal with the public on a daily basis if I ever spoke to someone like this I would not have a job. If the management cares they have a lost a loyal client who speaks to alot of people ,even after reading the reviews as bout being shut down by the health Dept. I think this person should either get a customer service class or be fired as she should not be dealing with the public at all! This all occurred Saturday 8/14. There happened to be a client behind me who got up to the counter and told this girl he was new and I replied good luck!! I hope someone at your establishment starts caring. Read moreI ordered an open faced bagel with cream cheese and lox. When we got it, two thirds of the bagel had 3 thin, skimpy slices of lox. When I approached the manager, (if she is the manager), she told me that it's measured out because salmon is expensive. I told her that EVERY bagel store that serves it, covers the bagel. My bagel had a third of it plain with no lox. Then she simply turned around and walked away. After that, while I was standing there to understand what was going to happen, 2 other girls came out of the kitchen and kept walking by me, one with a cart, screaming EXCUSE ME! When I asked what's going on with my complaint, one of them told me that's all I get while they all looked and started laughing. I understood that they don't care about customer service and they wouldn't correct the issue. So I went and sat down with my wife to eat. The whole time we were sitting and eating, the girl with the cart kept walking by staring at me. This is not the first time that I've seen this behavior from employees here, but it is the first time it's happened to me. I've also seen the same girls treat the guys that work here with disrespect and unprofessionalism.
I will not be returning here to eat anymore. Obviously my business is not needed or appreciated, therefore I will go somewhere...
