I’ve been coming to this restaurant for quite some time now, and it’s become one of my go-to spots for a reliable and enjoyable dining experience. Whether it’s for a family dinner or just a casual meal, this place never disappoints. The hibachi is a standout—every time I order it, I’m impressed by how fresh and flavorful the meats and seafood are. It’s such a fun experience watching the chefs cook everything right in front of you, and the interactive element adds a lot of excitement to the meal. I’ve tried almost everything on the hibachi menu, and there’s not a single dish I don’t love. The combination of perfectly cooked proteins, fresh vegetables, and that signature hibachi flavor makes it a meal I always look forward to.
The sushi is another highlight of this place. Every time I’ve ordered it, the fish has tasted incredibly fresh, and the rolls are always well-made and flavorful. Whether it’s a classic like spicy tuna or something more creative from their specialty rolls, the sushi never fails to impress. It’s clear that they prioritize quality, and it shows in every bite. I also appreciate how consistent they are—no matter how many times I visit, the sushi always tastes just as good as the first time I tried it.
What really makes this place special, though, is how well it works for a family dinner. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, and the hibachi setup is especially great for kids. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience. The chefs are entertaining, and the food is something everyone can enjoy, whether you’re a fan of seafood, steak, or even just the fried rice and veggies. Plus, the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth.
That said, the only minor downside is that it can get pretty busy, especially on weekends. If you’re planning to go during peak hours, it’s a good idea to make a reservation, though even then, you might have to wait a bit. But honestly, the wait is worth it. The food, the experience, and the overall vibe make it a place I’ll keep coming back to time and time again. Whether it’s for the hibachi, the sushi, or just a fun night out with the family, this restaurant has earned its spot as one of...
Read moreI recently visited Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by discriminatory treatment that left me deeply disappointed. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with indifference, a stark contrast to the warm welcome given to other patrons. I waited far longer than everyone else to be seated, despite the restaurant being relatively empty. When I was finally escorted to a table, the service was slow and dismissive, as if my presence didn’t matter. As the evening went on, it became more apparent that the staff (Amy) was treating me differently. I overheard other tables receiving special attention, while my requests for basic assistance were ignored or brushed off. The food, which is the only redeeming aspect of my visit, didn’t make up for the lack of respect I experienced. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and it was clear that my presence was unwelcome. I left the restaurant feeling hurt and disrespected, which overshadowed any positive aspects of the meal. In an industry that thrives on inclusivity and hospitality, it’s heartbreaking to see such blatant discrimination. I won’t be returning to Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse ever while visiting from out of state and I strongly encourage others to consider their values before dining there. It's a shame that this kind of treatment still occurs, especially in spaces that should be open and...
Read moreIf you’re looking for fresh sushi and/or good customer service, this place is NOT for you.
I ordered a special Salmon roll with raw salmon on top. When I received the roll, the “fresh” salmon on top was warm. It was also mushy. After one bite, I asked if I could get a different roll because the salmon was warm.
The manager (or owner) argued with me saying that the salmon was fresh. I had him feel the warm, mushy salmon and he said it was like that because the rice was warm. I said okay, could I still get something else. He said no because the salmon was fresh. So instead of getting me a new roll, he brings out 3 pieces of the salmon to prove his point. This time, the salmon was cold, but it was still very mushy and obviously not fresh. I could tell this was going no where so I said okay thanks.
I literally couldn’t finish the roll nor did I eat the sashimi he brought out. There were 6/8 pieces left on the plate and he asked why. I told him I simply couldn’t eat it because it was clearly not fresh (of course he argues with me again). Then he brought the check with no discount or anything.
Terrible service and very bad sushi. My stomach is also now upset. I...
