Aside from inquiring about their wine selection, I’m pretty sure that this is Danville’s first ever fully vegan restaurant so I was excited to check it out! This newly opened restaurant has a pretty nice selection of appetizers, salads, entrees & drinks. We were seated in the back patio outside, it was around 6pm & the weather was great; not too hot or cold. For starters our table ordered the Lets Get Fizzical Guava & Blood Orange drinks, The Mermaid, Lemon Chips appetizer and the Spiced Nuts. The Lemon Chips were a bit oily for my taste but delicious nonetheless. The Spiced Nuts were spiced very well with lots of flavor & went great with our drinks. Speaking of which, we got to meet the bartender for that evening who was incredibly generous to us & graciously gifted us some Lavender Champagne. For entrees we ordered the Masa Cake, The B&R Burger & The Mac & Cheese. I bought the burger because I was curious to taste the “maple smoked mustard”, however it just tasted like regular mustard to me which was a bit of a bummer but it was still really good. The Mac & Cheese was nice & creamy, bold flavors with soft noodles, the crispy onions was a nice accompaniment. The cheese on the burger is the same as the cheese in the Mac & Cheese; that warm, thick, bold creamy flavor worked really well in the burger. It was a bit messy but totally worth it! It was nicely sized too. The service was ok, maybe the server was a bit busy that evening; long periods of time between contact. Towards the end of our meal they turned on the heater next to our table which made our table super hot! I was glad to get out of there towards the end, it was making us way too hot. They didn’t really check in with us when they turned it on either, it was pretty unnecessary for us; we were already enjoying the nice warm evening, I would have rather they checked in with us on that beforehand. Overall I had a great experience there, food & drinks were great! All the plates were presented beautifully & the tastes definitely lived up to it. I will most likely be coming back to try out some of the other dishes & I am curious to see if they will change they change the menu at all, seasonally or just new items in general. Definitely come check this place out! It’s a must for anyone interested supporting a fully plant-based restaurant! (Though I still need to check...

Stepping into this gastronomic sanctuary, one is immediately enveloped in an ambiance of understated elegance, where every detail, from the warm lighting to the inviting decor, speaks to a reverence for simplicity and authenticity.
Our dining experience began with the Roasted Cauliflower—a masterful rendition of a humble vegetable elevated to extraordinary heights through careful preparation and exquisite seasoning. Each bite offered a symphony of flavors, a testament to the chef's artistry and commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients.
Next, we embarked on a journey of culinary discovery with the Tofu Katsu Sandwich—a harmonious union of textures and tastes that delighted the senses and nourished the soul. The crispy exterior of the tofu gave way to a tender interior, while the accompaniments provided a delightful contrast of flavors, resulting in a dish that was both comforting and invigorating.
To complement our meal, we savored a cup of Mushroom Chowder—a velvety concoction that warmed us from within and left a lingering impression of earthy richness. Each spoonful was a revelation, a reminder of the transformative power of simple ingredients when treated with care and respect.
As we concluded our dining experience at Blossom and Root Kitchen, we couldn't help but reflect on the Stoic virtues embodied by this establishment—moderation, discernment, and appreciation for the present moment. In a world filled with noise and distraction, this oasis of culinary excellence offers a respite for the weary soul, inviting us to savor each moment and find solace in the simple pleasures of good food and...
Read moreI like this place with a few exceptions. We had a medium sized party. I called to see if they had space before we headed over there. He said there was room, but if I wanted to reserve it I would have to fill out my credit card in a link he would send me.
Well ..after you fill out your credit card info it informs you that you will be charged $20!!! That's right $20!!! Not just for the reservation, but per person for no shows!!! That seemed excessive to me.
If a restaurant is that popular, then they can easily fill the table with walk ins. If it is not that popular, that is not a way to encourage people to patronize your establishment.
Once we got there...the place was empty!!! They could have easily just taken our request/reservation rather than request a credit card payment which resulted in negative vibes towards this establishment! Even solidified my negative opinion even more.
Plus, anyone who asks...or maybe even doesn't ask, I'll share my experience with this absurd policy and name the restaurant I experienced it with without hesitation. Probably just in normal conversation about experiences because it stands out in my mind.
So, rather than walking away talking about the food, ambiance and service...I am rather spreading the word about their absurd policies.
People who write good reviews obviously didn't have to or want to make a reservation. As long as you are willing to chance it on a walk in basis I guess you're ok. But I would think that a clientele based on walk in is not as consistent if a model for a restaurant.
As for the menu. It was a bit limited. All the food we had was a bit heavy on the salt. But it is nice to have a vegan option restraunt.
The best part was the staff. They were all very sweet, friendly...
