We recently hosted our annual holiday party for Insight Wellness Center at Mangia Mi in Danville, and we couldn’t have chosen a better spot! As a group of psychotherapists who value self-care and connection, gathering here for holiday cheer was truly a treat. The hospitality and service were absolutely excellent—warm, attentive, and accommodating from start to finish. The food was not only delicious but also came in generous portions, with a wide variety of options to please everyone in our group. We never felt rushed, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Mangia Mi has officially become our go-to place—not only for team gatherings but also for family visits or even casual hangouts. We’re already considering having them cater to our office events in the future! Thank you, Mangia Mi, for making our celebration so special. We look forward to visiting again (and again)! Highly recommend! ~ The Insight Wellness Center Team 💙

LOVE THIS PLACE! I'm an Italian au pair currently living in the States and tonight I came here to have dinner with my host family. First time having dinner out since I got here. I couldn't have had better night. I had Gnocchi al Gorgonzola and gosh, those were delicious, almost tasted like home if it wasn't for the parmesan cause there was too much but I LOVED them! Then I fell in love with the Buttercream Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream on top. The kids didn't eat everything so we bought the leftovers home! The staff was so nice and kind and we had so much fun talking with them! Alexandria served us and she was amazing! This is the kind of staff I like to meet when I go to a restaurant. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HAVING US! I'll definitely be back to have that buttercream cake again!😍

We just became aware Mangia mi is now open for lunch! The al fresco cafe experience was wonderful—people-watching , dogs parading, babies strolling by. Our server, Stephanie, was so amiable and attentive it was like eating at a friend’s home. And the food was simply out of this world. Paninis made with everything fresh. The grilled chicken pesto and heirloom tomato sandwiches we had were not only very generous, but extraordinarily delicious. Even the side salad was elegant—arugula with crumbled blue cheese, candied walnuts and slices of apple. Do yourself a favor and go there before lunch service is discovered and you can’t get a table.

To start with the good: The service and staff at Mangia Mi are wonderful and friendly. Drinks are good - we ordered the house wine which was an extremely generous pour and what tasted like a good Merlot blend.

Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was terrible, lacking in any flavor but salt.

The Antipasto we ordered included housemade sausage, olives, and artichoke hearts.

The olives were all green olives that had been cured in water brine - extremely salty and tasted like they were from a can. I would have expected a range of different types of olive cured in olive oil and herbs.

The housemade sausage was basically small chunks of salty ground meat that had been coated in breadcrumbs and deep fried. Again salt was the overriding taste, with little to distinguish the meat.

The artichoke was non-descript and tasted like it was bottled (which is fine).

The Greek Salad was clearly made with quality, fresh greens. But it was drenched in a vinegary, salty dressing and coated with far too much feta. (Should have asked for feta and dressing on the side.)

At the table we shared the "all-day bolognese." The papardelle pasta was clearly homemade and very good quality, but that's where it ends. The sauce was clumps of ground meat in a very salty, oily, almost clear broth. There were but little flecks of tomato and no visible herbs to lend flavor. This dish as a whole was almost inedible.

Perhaps the pizza is better, but needless to say we were sorely...

Very disappointing meal & evening at Mangia Mia last weekend. Majorly rushed by waitress to order. Took our drink order & ordered appetizer(Bruschetta). Way too much vinegar drizzled on top of bruschetta. Ordered romaine head salad w blue cheese dressing on the side of which received salad w vinegarette dressing all mixed in & blue cheese crumbles on the side. My husband hates vinegar! Weren’t even half finished w our salads & they were whisked away & spaghetti & meatballs were delivered. Waitress didn’t ask if were we finished w our salads or if we wanted to box them…just took them away. Spaghetti & meatballs were lukewarm. Boxed up spagetti & meatballs & ordered tiramisu which was delicious however it was delivered before we even finished our entree. Before finishing dessert, was handed the bill. Barely handled the bill, a young man came to our table & told us they had other guests waiting for our table!!! Basically, get up & get out!!! Would have been nice to have time to enjoy our meal & finish visiting w our friends who had joined us. It was so loud in there we could hardly talk. Paying big dollars for dinner you’d think they would give u a little more time to enjoy a...

Hands-down, the best Italian food I have ever had and maybe the best food in general that I have ever had. We live about four hours north went down for the weekend took a wine tour met a couple people who tried to discourage us from eating at this restaurant. We are so thankful we didn’t listen to the Karen that was in our wine tour group because this restaurant knocked our shoes off of our feet with how delicious and flavorful their food was. Family owned and operated business. I believe the mother is the hostess. Her daughter and granddaughters are the waitresses. They all speak Italian, even with their cooks. I was absolutely so impressed by this restaurant I will 100% recommend it to absolutely anybody who visits Calistoga. We over ordered a ton of food and we’re so excited to take it home with us and eat it for lunch the next day after we drove home and we were so sad that we left it in the fridge At our hotel. Again, if you want spectacular food spectacular service definitely this is the spot to go. I had the chicken Parmesan and it was...
