Complete let down again! My pizza 2 weeks ago was alot smaller than the box. Then tonight I decided to get my favorite Italian Cosmo and a chicken cheesesteak in the garden for my wife and I'm still trying to figure out what just happened to us. My Italian was not even close to what it use to be, the meat tasted awful and I paid for a Cosmo and it was barely warm. The oil tasted like Italian salad dressing. The chicken cheese steak barely had any chicken on it, just alot of cheese. The best part was the added charge of $3.00 for "open food" to our bill plus the tax. This place is definitely not the same, not even sure if it is the same place. So let down, personally I will not go back. 9-6-2025 I must respond to the ridiculous apology that includes insults from the "owner" . First I didn't complain about the pizza because we have been coming there for a long time and figured it was just a fluke. I'm not arguing about the food other then it was awful. I don't need smart remarks about how long it takes to get from Millville to Danville, it takes me 12 minutes. One suggestion I have is to wrap a Cosmo sub in aluminum foil and it will stay warm or hot alot longer instead of a cheap stylofoam container. I did appreciate the call to my wife but since you posted your apology I will definitely pass on the "free subs". In fact you can donate them to a homeless person. Do not reach out to my wife again and we will definitely NOT be coming back to Carini's ever again!

They treat you like family! Feels like sitting in a small eatery on the boardwalk. You can always plan your stop in ahead of time. Choose to stop during peak time when the dining area is super busy or during their slow time for space and quiet conversation. It doesn't matter which setting you like more, because the food quality is always consistent. Then again, if the dining out scene is not for you, they have the best delivery drivers ever! My order arrived so fast that i had to let it sit to cool before I could dig in. Thanks, guys, for taking the time to read my review. I love nothing more than helping other foodies to find a new place enjoy. Jeanette Zeller

Delicious. Owner is from Carini Sicily and it shows. Baked ziti was really good. Chicken Parm was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The tomato sauce on the spaghetti was also very very good. The mozzarella melted on the parm and ziti, was SO good. Hot fresh bread with our dinners, nice salad green mix, too! Never been to Danville before and this was a great find. Cheese steak was very flavorful and kinda wonderfully saucy, the bread is softer that what you might be expecting, however. If you want a harder roll, get something else, otherwise go for it. We killed the meal, as you can see.

This place gets a one star for its Chicken Parm sub which is tasty. The pizza is meh. Other food we tried was mediocre to poor. But the key here is the outright rudeness and lack of customer respect and service from the waitress and manager. We ordered a sampler which on the menu says comes with Mozzarella sticks, fried ravioli, fried zucchini, and French fries. They brought a plate with two ravioli, two cheese sticks, two tiny sticks of zucchini, fries, and a bunch of fried mushrooms and fried cauliflower, neither of which was on the menu. So we got very little of what the menu said and a ton of what was not on the menu...things we don't like and wouldn't have ordered. So we politely asked about it and received a ton of attitude from the waitress. She said they were just adding free stuff. Well, yeah, at the expense of removing things from the platter that we ordered and expected to get. We are very nice, just asking about it. I offered the suggestion that the menu should reflect what comes on the plate. She came back and said "I took it off the bill. Next time we'll just give you less." She also never returned, never offered us even one refill, and never picked up the bill which she threw down on the table with attitude. We couldn't believe it. I thought we were getting punked by Ashton Kutcher. There's no way this attitude could be directed towards two customers for a simple, politely asked question and suggestion. A manager came over (maybe owner not sure), who gave us the same story with slightly less overt attitude but with a definite passive aggressive tone. He later returned and was much more polite and took the bill up to the register for for us, since homegirl refused to do her job. We had to ask a nice bus boy to get us to go boxes for our sandwiches. My wife and I were so nice at first. Never even made a big deal about it, we just offered our opinion that the menu should reflect what is served. Screw them. They lost two customers for sure in a town with very few in the first place. I don't typically write reviews unless is is exceptionally good or exceptionally poor. This required the time and effort.

Update: In response to the manager’s reply:

I appreciate the quick reply and explanation. Still there was no reason for the rudeness of the waitress or yourself on your first visit to the table. Also, Not sure how you think you know how many times we’ve been there to Carini’s As we had no discussion with you or her about it. It was actually our third visit. We brought our kids and mother-in-law in for pizza last October and didn’t return due to our disappointment in the pizza. We then had take out just 2 weeks ago which included 3 sandwiches (meatball, Italian, chicken parm) and some pasta, though I don’t recall exactly what dish to be honest. We came back today because I wanted one of those dank chicken Parmesan subs. And it was delicious so thank you. On the contrary to your insinuation that my wife “are all the mini-boil”, which I believe you to mean “ate...”, she actually ate one third of the mini-boli and waited 10-15 minutes for a a to go box for it. It was ok. Enough for her to take it home. But all of this is really not the issue. I gave honest assessments of the food. The issue is the lack of respect and rudeness displayed by your establishment. We were completely nice and respectful when we asked our question and offered our opinion, which as paying customers, we are entitled to. There was ZERO reason for the reaction by your waitress and yourself initially. A simple explanation would have sufficed. Not attitude and passive aggressive debate. Thanks for the chicken parm. Have a...

Unfortunately, this was our third attempt to enjoy your pizza, and each time has been disappointing. This latest order, the two large cheese pizzas with extra cheese, was no exception.

The crust was passable, but the lack of sauce and the use of low-quality cheese were glaring issues. The cheese was particularly disappointing, lacking any stretch or pull. It had a gritty, salty taste, indicative of a processed cheese blend. The pies definitely did not reflect having "extra cheese", because they both had a thin sheet of cheese that appeared similar to finding pizza at a college frat house from a party 3 days ago and thinking, "Yeah I can eat this for breakfast."

The excess grease, pooling on the surface and dripping from the crust, further detracted from the overall experience. It's unfortunate that a restaurant would compromise on such a fundamental ingredient as cheese. Cheese is synonymous with pizza. It's a decision that significantly impacts the quality of the pizza and, ultimately, the customer's satisfaction. While I wish the restaurant success, I won't be returning for future orders.

Edit in response to owner I shouldn't have to call about a problem with 3 orders when you personally promote the use of quality ingredients for your customers. I honestly feel both pizzas were made ahead of time, probably to be used to sell single slices, and then reheated for future use. These shortcuts and the use of bottom shelf cheese are signs of a struggling business. Try getting away with producing this product in a city setting where no one knows you.

After reading some reviews regarding etiquette and practice, it seems to me (and other former customers) that you're punishing quality and customers to save a few bucks. It says something when 7-11 makes a better pizza than your business.

Not sure if this is ignorance, denial or constantly being praised by family & friends who will never be honest with you because they know you. You will always get honest reviews from people who don't personally know you. These reviews help promote your motivation to evaluate your current practices and to improve the areas where you're failing.

You want better reviews?...
