How is this place not packed with a line out the door?? My only guess is it's because it's difficult to access - would be so much better if you could enter/exit from Wal-Mart parking lot.
This is very very casual dining - a few tables inside. Paper plates. But the food was incredible. I saw a couple of folks picking up takeaway while we were there - I'm guessing that's the heart of their weekday business. Bonus: prompt and careful service.
Sadly, the ice cream machine was broken and apparently has been for a while. From what I hear, the machine that they use is not your usual design and is very expensive to fix --- so here's my rave review to encourage people to GO THERE and eat the VERY YUMMY savories to help fund the return of the sweets. :)
I got a sushi burrito; my guest got chicken fried rice. Both were generous portions and the chicken was tender and juicy. The sushi burrito is kind of like a hand roll but rolled more tightly and the ingredients were fresh. Ps the crab wontons are also worth it - they weren't chewy or dry.
Will 1000% be going back.
And hopefully the ice cream machine will be fixed so we can try the crepes next time.
If their ice cream machine is still broken when you visit, finish your trip by going next door to Zocalo for...
Read moreWas very excited to bring my out of town son to CoCo Ni in Danville on Saturday. We arrived at 4;45pm. One group of people sitting at a table, one waiting for a pick up order. Two people behind the counter. I would like to point out I usually order on the app, and pick up. But we went in stood at the counter for 25 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. One worker was slowly working on a fruit crepe, the other was cutting a sushi roll but kept heading to the back, would disappear. As we were waiting for anyone to look our way, I told my son to look up on the computer, we both did, it took us to facebook. No order online information anywhere. This is how I have always ordered food from CoCo. not sure if it was taken down or not. So we waited a few more minutes before one worker asked us what we wanted, and added it would be atleast 30 minutes before they could even start on it! We decided to leave. I understand alot of places our having a hard time finding help, I really hope they find staff cause it is the only Poke Bowl place close to me. I was very disappointed. I am giving the food a 5 because it has always been excellent but everything else has...
Read moreWhat a hidden gem!! I see rolled ice cream and sushi burritos on Instagram all the time as the new and exciting thing that people in big cities like LA and NYC get to experience. Then I found CocoNi and I got to experience the trend for myself!! Their crepes are divine! Who would have thought to marry crepes and Thai food? It's genius! I'll definitely be going back. The only cons: their menu is not up to date so what you order may not be what you actually get!!! Ask! When we got our food and it wasn't exactly what we were expecting they offered to make it again free of charge exactly the way we wanted. I was really impressed with their...
