Very friendly staff and fairly good home cooking. The Squash & Onions were just like grandma used to make. The string beans were deliciously tender and properly seasoned with salt and a touch of sweetness. Always a sucker for onion rings and these were crispy and tasty despite being wholesale style. Cornbread was a little dry and thin but complimented the cooked vegetables nicely. The Boston Cream cake was a nice combination of decadent chocolate on a slightly under-sweet cake and gentle cream layer keeping it from being too rich. I have not been there in 5 years I was a regular customer sometimes we eat with a motorcycle group there was an old guy there maybe the owner my cousin and I was getting ready to order it was close to closing but everybody else was sitting down and enjoying is there a meal he was telling us we had to take whatever was on the minion hurry up and finish. What a great place! We had the daily special: tender roast beef, which was so good. If you like country cooking, different specials each day, and all at a very reasonable price, Danview is the restaurant for you. If we lived in the area, I'd want to eat here a few times a week. Even though the food and atmosphere were great, the best asset is their staff. They treated us like family, and you could see that they really did have friendships with the "regulars".
