I can't believe I am leaving this review. I loved this place. I have been a patron for over 3 years since we moved to Danville. Each time, spending 60 to 80 dollars a visit. It started with my daughter and me purchasing a to go order. When I went to pay I noticed the price was different than on the menu. informing the cashier that the menu may not be correct because I was getting charged 1.50 more than the price that was shown. I understand prices are going up, and menus can get out of date. The cashier became hostile in tone and manner. First, she shrugged, saying, I don't know why the price is different. Then she She informed me that the change in price was written on the counter. I read 4 percent discount will be offered to customers paying in cash. I was paying with a card, on a to go order.
The sign said discount to cash payers, not penalty to card payers. The cashier rebuked my claim so (still staying calm because I really liked this place) I asked her for a menu. I showed her the item on the menu, cheesy fajitas for 2, listed for 26.49 that was ringing up for 27.99. Then I noticed 4 charges of 39 cents. I asked what they were for. The cashier shrugged and said we always charge that for to go orders. I asked why, and what was it for, while I was signing the ticket. She said we just do.
I was sad that such rapport could be completely reversed in one moment. I left wondering if I would ever want to buy from there again.
When I got home I realized I didn't even have what I ordered. It was fajitas but not a bit of cheese. And it was cold. But that could have been from the drive home.
I called the restaurant and requested the manager on duty. I was informed he is not here. I asked what is his name and when is he on the schedule. The girl on the phone said I am not going to tell you that! I laughed and asked, are you refusing to tell me the name of your manager? Then she hung up on me.
All in all, the extra charges couldn't have exceeded 7 dollars. I wonder if the owner would feel that 7 dollars and a cashier with an attitude was a good trade for a repeat customer who spends over 400 dollars a year and the business of my daughter who spends over 30...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever received. They were so disrespectful as soon as my party came through the door and as soon as we left; our initial waitress had a very nasty attitude towards us so we asked if we could get a different server due to that and we did receive a new one. The new waitress was doing okay at first but then she began to show signs of aggression towards us, our orders were very cold and dry. Then she had the audacity to call my mom “drunk” due to not liking the sauce provided with the meal even though my mother was drinking water. One of my guests found a strand of hair in the salsa. As soon as we were walking out, we explaining to them how the service was very awful and that we were very displeased; as our backs were turned, she told us to “kiss her ass”. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone ever again after tonight’s events. The only good out of this was that the manager was very understanding and nice to us. Other than that, this restaurant will never have another dime from me...
Read moreAlthough the wait staff was very friendly, if you're looking for great Mexican food, choose somewhere else. To say the food was mediocre is being generous. Selections are poor, and they frown upon substitutions (even if you have a food allergy). We asked for a cilantro lime sauce for fish tacos (which were NOT good), and they acted like they had never heard of that before. We were told the only sauce they had besides salsa Rojo or hot sauce was salsa Verde. The fajita toppings and tortillas were very sparse, and the margaritas were watery. We had to literally ask for more chips for the flavorless, tiny amount of salsa we were served and ended up eating dry chips, which were also seriously bland because we were never offered any more salsa. We spent 125.00 for four people and it wasn't worth anywhere near that. On the next trip to Danville, we definitely won't be eating there, even though the...
