Harbor Freight — Local services in Danville

Supervisor working the cash register had an attitude when I walked in for a replacement of an auger I purchased there. She told me I had to walk around to the other side of the register for her to help me. So I carried the auger which had gas in it to the customer side of the register and she had a fit. All I wanted to do was run it outside the store "if necessary" to show them what was wrong with it. She told me there was nothing she could do for me due to the gas in the auger. Could not even talk to her about a replacement. She called the manager to the front who appeared in less than a minute with an even bigger attitude. I suggested pouring the gas out in a bucket (which I would have taken home with me). He wasn't even going to listen to me and said he would call the police. At that point there was no question that I was not going to get any service from these people. When I attempted to leave the store the manager physically stopped me and told me I could not pour the gas anywhere. All I wanted to do at that point was leave and continue my shopping at other stores I needed to go to. There was a verbal altercation and after I exited the store the manager told me that I needed to make my return at another store. I am handicapped and in hindsight "I" should've been the one to call the police. Unbelievably dissatisfied and confused as to how fast a return escalated into...

My husband and i have been in love with this store for years. On today 06/01/2017 we took our mother to the new dmv. We decided to go into the Danville Harbor freight just to see if their was anything we needed. Some guy with an overlapping belly decides in his mind we were stealing and follows us out the store where we were going to retrieve the money to purchase something. Keep in mind we entered the store basically trying to see if there was anything we needed then see we in fact did..i went to car my husband went on side of building to take a piss. Upon going back into store i see top flight security on the lil mic asking o where they go and goes around side of building and when he sees my husband he looked stupid in the face. I told my husband he's looking for you. Guess he thought you were stealing. We work hard everyday. We've never stole in our life.We were singled out because we were black!!! I'll never shop in this store ever again!! We didn't have baggy clothes hell i didn't even have my purse so why assume we were stealing!!!! I will definitely tell all of my Black and White associates about this incident. I have a career..i make enough to buy any and everything in that store. The worst customer service when shopping online. I place an order for a small engine, the transaction was in pending status on there website for 7 days. Finally after that day I called which was a Sunday the customer rep said that it hadn't shipped because I had different addresses in the shipping and billing places which wasn't true because everything was correct on my conformation email. Then 2 days later I receive an email saying they were out of stock and the order was hereby canceled but the charge for the item was still pending and "should be returned within 14 business days" so now after 3 weeks I will be right back were I started. And the website still lists the item as available. This is the first and last online purchase from HF...if it's not in a store around I...
