EDIT: Today, 4/7/21 we were finally able to return the chair, that we never got. For the second time we were told that the chairs that had been shown in stock at the South Boston store were being used by management. That's awesome to know, seeing as we paid for one and they wanted to use it instead of selling it. Not sure how in a months time they were unable to order one at all. Not sure how we didn't even get an apology for the lack of customer service.. oh maybe that's it there was no customer service. We did ask to speak to the store manager but he doesn't work on Wednesdays and the last time I was in was his day to leave early, and the time before that he was not in.. guess he just manages his time off. Never again will I set foot in that store. I understand they prey on those who can't finance anywhere else and that's how they maintain business, it's just sad they are so rude and disrespectful to customers who pay in full at time of service. Its sad my husband had to use time from his day off to deal with the return, it's worse they think it's funny that a chair we paid for was being used by management rather than being sold. Wish I could take away the 1 star I was forced to give.
My husband ordered an office chair on 3/12 we were told another store had it and we would be able to pick it up next day... a week later we went to ask got told they would call us back, they never did, went back in a week later was told they would call back they never did, again a week later still haven't heard. Now basically just waiting for my husband to have a day off so he can go cancel the order. Could have paid less on Amazon had the chair here already hand had much much much better customer service.    Read moreI was highly disappointed with the customer service that I received. I had went into your store 3 weeks prior and found a sofa table I wanted to purchase however it was rather costly. I left my name and number with a salesperson in case it went on sale. She called the next week stating it would be on sale in 2weeks, one day only. Two days before the sale day she called again and said sale started today (Thursday) thru Saturday. I told her I would be in to purchase table. She preceded to tell me that the table was discontinued and she only had the 1 on the floor. Also bring my own blanket to wrap it in. I go to store Saturday morning (as I said I would) asked for her and she preceded to tell me all was fine just go to pay and she would have it wrapped. Well as I was seated at customer service I was told the table couldn't be taken off floor. They would have to find one in a box and have delivered to the store. They could not find a store that had one. I'm sitting bewildered with all that's going on. Customer service were up and down and on phone and talking among themselves. I insisted some one tell me what was going on. The answer I got was they wasn't sure they could sell me the table! I had searched for a cherry sofa table for months. That is the only reason I stayed. I went through the whole story with customer service who said we are waiting on a phone call to see if I can sell you the table. It was the worst customer service I have ever received. Needed lever on the footrest of a recliner rocker to be fixed as well as a footrest cable release on love seat. The claim was made three months ago. Sent photos that were requested, two weeks later a tech came out to photograph the same things and had no parts to fix them. Two weeks after his visit I called to see when he would return to fix the furniture . I was told it would take four months to get those parts and that the tech had just issued an order for the parts. The parts came in but went to Schewelâs store. So I had to schedule another appt. with Schwells to receive the parts.. The repair tech came out days later and found the wrong parts were sent. I spoke to Steve, a manager at Schwellâs, who said it would take another two weeks at the most and the tech would come with the correct parts. That was six weeks ago. Schwellâs again received the parts and again I scheduled time for the delivery of those parts. Now waiting for another appointment for the tech. FYI This part is available on Amazon for $50.two day delivery. I happened to check reviews posted with the Better Business Bureau and there have been many complaints issued against Schewelâs for a variety of reasons. This warranty should have been described as being problematic at the time it was sold to me.
