Me's burgers & brews — Restaurant in Danville

I was talking with a friend about maybe trying out this place again but was unsure. My last experience at Me's was awful amd embarrassing. Not because of the food, but because of the way friends and I were treated. I went to Google to look at my previous review (that to my knowledge had never been responded to) and saw that it had been deleted......

So here it is again!! I met my friends there after we had all had long days at work. We wanted to enjoy each other's company and some good food. Dinner went well , we had ordered one round of drinks and were talking about dessert when the manager approached us and asked us to leave because we "had already ate" and they needed to make space for other people coming in who "really wanted to be seated". There were people seated around us that we knew from our various places of employment who witnessed this. We were escorted out with the promise of "getting something free next time we came by" . Co workers the next day asked what happened because the whole scene looked strange. We were not asked to leave based on anything we did but because , (they literally said this) "we (out of everyone else in the restaurant) looked like we would be the least likely to care " when asked to leave for "the sake of making space". It was still embarrassing and wrong. We were paying customers who had just paid for drinks that had just arrived! My friend downed her drink and we were left standing outside trying to figure out what to do. We ended up going next door to dilishi for our dessert instead. I feel like this is bad business practice and even worse that my comment was never responded to (every other comment made had been responded to) and...

This was my 1st experience at Me’s and I left with mixed feelings. The atmosphere was very appealing-a book theme w/wood floors & an upstairs balcony (which sadly I didn’t notice til we were seated on the floor-next time!) large, well equipped bar with several cider choices with the option to sample as well as offering 1/2 pints (which this 1/2 pint appreciates!) the seats, however were hard, wood as well and pretty uncomfortable after about 10 min. The waitress was well, adequate. She took our order correctly and the food arrived it in good time. I got the Louis L’amour & was impressed to be asked if I wanted it medium (red in the center I was told) or medium well (pink in the center). When it arrived I dug in the fries which were fresh cut hot and delicious. When I bit in the burger it was equally yummy, just decidedly well done. When the waitress came to check if everything was ok, I held up my burger, saying it was delicious but did I order medium? There was only grey visible. She checked and agreed I had. yes, but is this medium,I asked? She said it looked ‘a little overdone’ and smiled and walked away. I finished my tasty yet very overdone burger and paid our $60 bill and left. No one came to acknowledge both our burgers weren’t as ordered which seemed at odds with the upscale vibe and pricing. I hope this isn’t a regular occurrence-maybe the waiter was new or the kitchen was off… we will try again and be a bit more assertive when ordering and hope for the best. Decided to take a trip up to Danville, Virginia and go to the Caesars Casino we had never been before. Before we went In we decided to eat before we went it and save a few dollars. So we googled some places and found Me's burgers & brews and they had really good reviews so we decided to give it a try. The parking is easily accessible and we thought the restaurant was in the front of the building but was in the back with a sign guiding you. We walked in and the place had a really cool laid back atmosphere and felt really inviting. We got sat and 20 seconds later we were already greeted by our Awesome server Jordan! And this girl was awesome she greeted us with a big smile and took our drink and food orders promptly. Drinks and food came out let me just say the food was the Bomb! That had to be one of the best burgers I have ever had in my entire life it was cooked perfectly and it was tender and full of flavor. And did I mention the fries? Some of the best fries I had in my life and they were cooked to a golden perfection and seasoned perfectly. I'm so glad we found this place it had to be one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in my life. And after we ate we talked to our server Jordan for a while we were asking questions about the area and Casino and she gave us some great information she was just absolutely amazing.
