My daughter and I were super excited to try out this establishment. The restaurant scene in Danville is subpar at Best so we anticipated having great food for once. We were extremely let down. When we arrived we were seated quickly which came as a surprise being that we had tried several times before even got in the phone list and were never called. We were led to our seat and the table was dirty and so was the seat, we wiped the seat and asked for the table to be cleaned. The young man was pleasant and quickly apologized and cleaned the table. Our server was a sweet girl, however she was wearing half the menu on her shirt and apron and her hands had dry bbq sauce all around her nails that was visible as she handed us our drinks. We ordered potato skins for an appetizer. One of my faves! When we finally got it almost 20 minutes later, it was obviously microwaved. The cheese was like plastic and melted all over the plate and the potato was hard as a brick, to the point the fork has to be forced in to pick it up. Not to mention the plate was super hot but the food on it was cold. The server was nice and removed it and the manager asked if we wanted something else but we didn't. We chose to wait for our entree. About a half hour later our entrees finally arrived. The plates were dirty and had some sort of sauce all over the bottom of one plate and both plates had the marks on the side of the plate where it was picked up and the finger smears were left. The gravy has a thick skin over the top and the shrimp were shriveled up and dried out to the point the butter did not even help. I asked for a medium steak and it was burned to a crisp and hard as a rock. The waitress saw my face and that I hadn't taken a bite and quickly asked if there was an issue with the food. I showed her and she then got the manager again. My daughter chicken sandwich was black with the resin from the grill. Which with 20+ years in the business we know comes from a dirty grill. The mushrooms were burned and the fries on her plate were completely stuck together in a big lump. She squeezed a fry and grease came squirting out of it. So we told the manager we did not want to eat the food she offered to have another one made for each of us but after being there for almost 2 hours and nothing but disappointment after disappointment we kindly declined and just asked for the bill. She then went to the stand with the waitress and complained about how we didn't even touch the food or take a bite before we decided it was no good. We didn't need to taste it to know it was not good. From the filth, the presentation, the temperature, and the overall condition of the items on our plate it was obvious. We were given our bill for our drinks and we paid. As we were leaving our waitress who we thought was sweet at first even though she was a mess.was talking poorly of us and saying that she hated people like us and that she bets we won't leave a tip. Little did she know we had left a note and a $50 bill for her but I rapidly snatched it back off the table after hearing her talk about us for not wanting to eat burnt food off of dirty plates. Needless to say we will not be returning to this establishment we will continue to go to Greensboro for our Texas...
Read moreFirst things first, First time eating here. We should have known that things were going to be rough, When we walked up to the counter, At least 5 servers were standing there and their playing like"You take this One, No, You take it" as if We were blind or something. Okay after that went on for what seemed like a couple of minutes, another server named "Liz" walked up and like a deer caught in headlights, they passed Us onto Her. We weren't told "Hey follow Her" so we gingerly started following Her, and We were led to a Booth which was fine. Our order was taken like 10 minutes after getting our drinks, Okay that was fine, mind you, the Restaurant is kind of busy, But, we're sitting right in front of the Server station where we came in, and, still a handful of the servers are congregating right where we left them. "Liz" brought out the Blooming Onion 🧅 which was really hot and prepared just the way I asked "Not over-cooked". About 20 minutes have gone by and finally the Main course meal has arrived at our table, Where do I start first? I ordered the "Roadkill" dinner (Hamburger Steak with Mushrooms and Onions and it comes with some melted cheese on top) Loaded Mashed potatoes and a Side of Macaroni and cheese. If You have ever ordered something with gravy on it (loaded mashed potatoes) You would know that if the gravy is Hot, it remains thin and steamy (coating the potatoes nicely) it had congealed, meaning that the food had sat for awhile, EVERYTHING was cold!!, The Mac and cheese bowl wasn't even lukewarm, the "Roadkill," looked good But it too was very cold, My friend's food was even worse, She ordered the Steak and Shrimp platter with a Caesar salad and a Baked potato. Now, mind You I wasn't going to say anything because I've worked in Food Service for over 30 years and I've seen what cooks would do if You complained about your meal, But, My friend got the attention of our Server and clearly stated " I'm sorry Miss, but, our meals, mine included, is very Cold! Now, instead of Liz saying" I'm sorry, let me get my Manager for You to see if We can make this right? Wrong, She said " I'm sorry" and walked away. The family that was sitting behind Us, had just been complaining to their server the exact same thing and She handled their complaints and tried to make it right, OUR SERVER LIZ, had the nerve to come back 10 minutes later and asked "If We would like to order some Dessert? I just asked for some Take Home boxes and the Check. My Bill came to $55.47¢ and they added another $11.25¢ as a Tip. I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT BACK IN THAT PLACE EVEN IF SOMEONE ELSE WAS PAYING FOR IT!!! Lesson learned and it only cost Me $66.72.
*Even called back and spoke with the Manager on Duty Micah, I think that's how You spell it, That She would send Me a Voucher or Gift card through my email address, which She said check it in a few minutes to see if it went through, Nope, this was Friday and now it's Sunday and still...
Read moreMy fiance and I went in one night for date night. We were sat and our server came up to us pretty quickly. After the “hey how are you”’s she replied with how she’s had a terrible night because she keeps having tables stiff her/promise to tip her well then don’t. This is before she even get our drink order so this is weird. Then she says she’ll be back to get our drink orders and proceeds to go MIA for 30 minutes straight. We are sitting there, no drinks, no order in, nothing as I watch her greet her friends at the door and having long conversations while looking right at us. As a server in the past, I give a lot of slack if you’re busy or overwhelmed but it was like she wasn’t even trying it was bizarre. Then when she finally does take our order, I asked for a sweet potato with butter, sugar, and cinnamon and she said “do you want marshmallows?” I said no. The food comes and my potato has marshmallows and nothing else on it. It takes another 20 minutes before she comes over to check on us after our food comes out and I explained how it’s not what I wanted but she doesn’t have to send it back I just want the stuff on the side that I didn’t get. She gets it and it’s all good. We go to pay and she’s charged me extra for that potato so again I have to wait for her to remember we exist so I can get rid of this up charge. When I bring it to her attention, her whole demeanor changed and she was so annoyed and outright angry with me. She said that that’s the price for the butter and sugar and I replied I’ve never had to pay for that before and she said “then those txrh are doing it wrong then but do you want me to get you a manager?” … i decided the $2 up charge was not worth waiting for her to get a manager so we paid and left. The more I thought about it, the more it really bothered me. I’ve worked with girls that sneak things on checks to get a bigger tip and that’s what I felt like she was trying to do. I looked it up on their website and she was obviously wrong so I called them. It took being on hold for 45 minutes for me to give up entirely. That’s just one of the poor experience I’ve had at this establishment. The second was me and my fiance trying to give it another shot because we had a gift card. They were seating a party of 12 in front of us and when that was over the host just ignored us so I walked up and asked for a table for 2. Mind you, it’s 7:50pm… she looks and me and goes “ouuu sorry but we close at 9” (they were closing early because it was snowing earlier that day. That wasn’t listed anywhere but okay). I think me and my fiance would be out wayyyy before that party of 12 boys you sat and the whole place was practically empty. So we went and got Olive Garden instead, cheaper food and they at least wanted us there. So sad because I was so excited when I heard this was being built in Danville but I guess I’ll stick to our tried and true at Olive Garden where I’ve NEVER had a...
