This place has really stepped it up with their updated design - the place feels warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in, and the staff makes sure you feel right at home. A special shout out to Racheal H. for her outstanding service: attentive, detail-oriented, and full of energy that truly elevates the experience.
The homemade sausage platter (2 pcs) is a standout - the fact that the sausages are smoked on site really comes through in unique flavor. The wings were also tasty and enjoyable, though at $20.50 for 10 pieces they felt a bit on the pricey side.
Beer selection is excellent with plenty to choose from. I especially enjoyed the blonde - rich, flavorful, and a perfect match to the food. A homemade 12,5% stout was another something to try. Just go for 5 oz.

Read moreThe beer selection is the only reason this place deserves more than one star. Prices for beer are on the high end for the area, but selection is good on tap, with a small bottle/can area as well with mostly local craft beers. The food is horrible and over-priced. Out of 4 attempts at dining here, only one was passable. I ordered a chicken sandwich that was missing the bacon and avocado it was supposed to come with. Another time I tried the pretzel bites and they were obviously undercooked. Today I had a burger with fries. The patty was so thin in the middle you could see the bun in places and it was rare. The fries were close to uncooked. They replaced the fries with some that were adequately cooked. I give up. Maybe the breakfasts are better, but after shelling out $25 for a terrible burger and fries and a single glass of ipa, not sure...
Read moreThe Growler is one of those restaurants/pubs where after 2 or 3 visits, you can become a regular and recognized face. My local friend introduced me to The Growler, and it's become a great go-to place to catch up with their friendly and approachable staff, hang out with friends, share poetry, write down inspirations, watch the game, and share a good laugh. When it comes to their food, my go-to is the pretzel bites, but the Caesar salad is also delicious and comes with the options of salmon, chicken, or tri-tip steak. The tri-tip was nicely cooked. Non-alcoholic drinks are primarily the virgin margarita, virgin white, and their tart cosnopolitan that my friend enjoys. I also enjoy their "NOT YOUR KIDS PINK LEMONADE" (boozy), and sitting in their back room for seclusion. I hope that The Growler's positive vibes last for...
