Medleno Coffee Shop & Roastery — Restaurant in Danville

After searching across the state and internet for shops/delivery services to buy my beans, this place has absolutely met or exceeded all of my expectations.

As someone that prefers the bright acidity and fruitiness of East African coffees I was thrilled to see three Ethiopians (Harrar, Sidamo, and Yirgacheffe) plus a Kenyan AA ranging from $16-21/lb (compared to the $18-24/12oz that many third wave roasters charge for similar offerings) that had all been roasted within the previous week.

The owners were clearly very knowledgeable about their product and were happy to offer tastes and samples based on my preferred brewing method to help inform my future purchases of which I'm sure there will be many.

If you live in the East Bay and care at all about what your coffee tastes like, you owe it to yourself to check out Medleno because of the impeccable quality, value, service, freshness, and variety...

Medleno Coffee is outstanding coffee shop offering wide selection of coffee drinks: espresso, pour over, latte, cappuccino and even Turkish coffee prepared on ... hot sand!! What really stands out to me about this place is their selection of coffee beans. Ethiopia, Sumatra, Colombia, Kenya are some of the places their coffee originates from. They focus on Fair Trade, organic beans which is awesome too. They roast their coffee so, it is always fresh and very aromatic. People that make coffee here are so customer oriented, they can tailor coffee to very specific taste preferences to ensure every customer enjoys his/her cup of Joe. Not only is this the best coffee I've had in my life, but the owners are truly the sweetest people you could ever ask to have running a coffee shop! They are working on the deck plates with their employees--hard work, dedication, and true passion pour into their business on a daily basis, yet they are always there to greet their costumers with a "smile" or "hello" every day.
