The Pub 2 — Restaurant in Danville

We arrived out of the area about 10:15 last night. Stood at the door like we were in a twilight zone episode. No where to sit except the dirty table at the door. Nobody greeted us or even looked our way. We gave the benefit of the doubt and set down at the dirty table. After another 10 min or so we left. It was obvious we weren't getting food even though the kitchen didn't close until 11. We were disappointed in how we were treated but leaving was the best thing. We didn't have the greatest experience; we were there for a very long time to get our burgers. It seems that we came in during a busy time on a busy day while they were understaffed, which is understandable, but we were still very irritated by several things that went on. BUT we raised our concerns to the server and he was quick to make things right with us. I have the feeling that we just had one bad experience and that it wasn't emblematic of their usual service. Moved to Danville a couple of months ago. We've eaten at many places around the area, but The Pub 2 is the one we've been to the most! Service is always quick & friendly. Menu is unique, upgraded "bar food" and always fresh & hot. 8-10 beer taps and half of them are usually local craft beers. With TV's and touch tunes it's a classic style bar with a modern atmoshere. The ONLY downside is it's small so seating isn't always available, but that just speaks to how popular it is. 5 stars, keep up...
