WORST MEAL EVER! So bad I am giving them 1 star only because you have to give at least that to post a comment. My husband and I went to dinner there this past Sunday evening. It was HORRIBLE! We started with the Shrimp Cocktail and wish we had stopped there. The shrimp was extremely tough and the cocktail sauce was so old that it had congealed. I wish we had paid for that and cancelled our remaining order but sorry to say we didn't listen to our gut. I ordered the Blackened Mango Chicken and they served it to me RAW... RAW Chicken! The jasmine rice seemed to have been several days old - inedible. My husband ordered the "Hand Cut" Ribeye. It was the worse cut of meat we have ever seen. The ribeye had absolutely no favor and a very cheap cut of meat. Of course they priced it at top dollar. The best thing we had was the ice water and the bread. My poor husband didn't even make it home before he was throwing up. (We had to stop at Sheetz) I was nauseous for the rest of the night, praying to God to let me throw up. I wanted to send the food back but before I could we heard a man yelling loudly and disrespectfully in the kitchen. When he opened the kitchen door we realized it was the manager/owner. If he conducted himself with his employees like that in front of customers we were sure he would not be respectful to us returning food. We over paid for disgusting food and left as quickly as we could. So very disappointing and...

I was very excited to go eat at this restaurant. I read the reviews and thought it eas going to be great. I was very disappointed. This is why I sometimes believe reviews are written by friends of the owners. Let me stsrt by saying that the crab cake appetizer was great. The service was good although the waiter did have to sak for help and did not seem to know the menu as you would have expected at this type of restaurant. It was down hill from there. My sister ordered the scallops not bad. I went all out and ordered the ribey oscar style. My crab cake that came with the ribey was not good and the bernaise sause had no taste which was the whole reason I ordered oscar style. I ordered a 14 oz cut so I could take some home. Well about 5 oz of it was fat. I ordered medium rare and it came to mme medium so be careful how you order. The deserts were ok. The bill was 113 for 2 people withOUT alcohol. Only tea. I just think for the price it was a little bit of a rip off. Also I had heard that there would be history here and other than a couple of pictures you see all over danville of the mill I saw no history. No one like owner or manager spoke to us even though we were celebrating my birthday. So there was no extra touches at all. Maybe I expected too much. If I do go back it will be for the crsb cake appetizers but most likely...

The experience was ok. My wife and I both got the ribeye. Way too much fat for the cost. The cut was a terrible but it had flavor. I also added on a crab cake which was about the size fifty cent piece. Not worth the $11 extra. Also we order our steaks medium but for some reason they serve them on top of the mashed potatoes so unfortunately our mashed potatoes were sitting in blood. Server was very attentive until we were finished. We asked for Togo boxes and he offered to do it for us. My wife had half a steak left and cut it up because she wasn't sure if our air b&b had steak knives. So the waiter takes her plate to box it and she mentioned to him about the potatoes in blood. He takes note and goes to the back to box. Or so we thought he brings out fresh potatoes and that's it. She asks where is her steak and somehow he thought she was finished and threw it away. He said he would ask if they could cook her a half of one, which was weird but hey whatever you can do. He comes back and said that they couldn't do that but we could get a dessert for free. Overall food is pretty good just won't...

This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. I wanted to take my husband somewhere nice for his birthday and had heard great things about this place. Apparently the great service is reserved for friends of the owners. The waiter was not even aware of the TWO beers they had on tap, having to go ask the bartender. He only addressed my husband each time he came to the table. The beets in my salad and my husband's $5 side of "roasted" beets were clearly from a can. My shrimp and grits entree had a total of 3 average size shrimp. The rest of the entree was so bland that even the sausage and bacon had no flavor. My husband's crab cakes were literally that, just crab. there was little to no seasoning or flavor. I assume that would have been remedied by the roumelade but your entree should stand alone, without a condiment, especially for the price we paid. We could have had a better meal at a chain restaurant and paid a fraction of what this meal cost. It wears the mask of fine dining but left a lot to be desired.

We have tried to eat here a few times, but it just didn't work out until now. I'm so glad we made it in for an evening meal. Rib eye steaks and crab cakes were the choice of the evening. Delicious! We also had the Lava cake for dessert. It was very moist and tasty. Our server was excellent and even held the door for us as we left the restaurant. We will certainly be returning. If you are in the area, call ahead and make a reservation. You'll be glad you did.
