Update: (April 12th 2025) There has been an improvement, however this time it’s on a Saturday evening rather than Saturday night, so still not sure if Friday nights are the problematic days. Order completed quickly, but this time the lobby was closed. Not sure if it’s a separate matter, but relative to the ordering problem, it might have been helpful.
As for Zaxby’s replying to my review, I decided to follow through and leave a somewhat more detailed review on their official survey page. Thanks for reaching out.
[Old Review from March 2025] TL;DR For orders to be taking 30+ mins to be ready, if it’s going to be really busy, at least look somewhat busy other than just standing around. I’m very patient, but 1 hour is really pushing it.
Long Version: I placed the order 1+ hour ago, but expected pickup time has already passed about 50+ minutes ago.
I understand that it’s REALLY busy, today, but the people working right now are observantly operating at a snails pace taking 3-5 minutes to take on additional orders.
Front Counter is barely doing anything, other than just standing there staring at the order screen. With that much wait time, the staff realistically can be doing other things. There is currently a spill near the entrance, and the drink machine has splatter stain on the side. If it’s going to take 5-10 mins to wait for an order to be completed, you can definitely do a quick check on the area around it. At least wipe the drink machine.
I can only make some exceptions because on days it’s not busy, orders are very fast, but when leaving customers are saying “good luck” to each other as they leave, thats how you know its slow.
I’ll update my review if I see any improvements.

Read moreLet's see, I'll start with a pick up order a few days ago. Upon entry there was no greeting, no one in line an employees goofing off. I had to wait a considerable time to be waited on. One the order was taken, the wait for the food was long as well. I requested ketchup for fries, an sauce for tenders, & s&p, simple right. When i reached home an unpacked our meals, not one condiment was there, my meal was short its bread slice an hers was incorrectly dressed. It's very irritating to spend your time an money to frequent a place an they can not get simple orders correct an apparently don't care. Tonight we decided to give them another chance an dine in. Same as last time, no greeting, no cashier at all, one person waiting on food an two in line waiting for someone to come out of back to take order, waited between 5-10 minutes. Once order taken, wr sat down to wait for our food, when they called our no the previous man was still waiting for his pickup order. When i reached the counter i again asked for ketchup an sauce, s&p. The young lady seemed irritated, she reached an grabbed some items an tossed on my tray. When i sat down still no ketchup an no salt, hpw hard is it to fill a request for needs of your meal, i am their customer, again like the other night they were all goofing off an not taking care of business. Read moreThis is The absolute worst Zaxby's I've ever visited lately. It seems customer service is trash. On yesterday I waited 30 minutes for my food that I assumed would be hot and fresh. I had the cashier confirm my order twice only to get my food and it was cold and wrong. All three orders were wrong. I didn't even take it back because clearly they did not care. everybody working was really young and seemed really lazy. The floor in the kitchen was dirty everybody playing around talking and laughing not really taking their job seriously at all.....when taking my order the female cashier asked me four different times what kind of drinks I wanted and still got it wrong, but when I got to the window, it was a male that asked me the same questions. Normally, I would've taken my food back and requested my money back, but I just took my loss.. Apparently management is nonexistent or they don't care anymore than the employees.. It was really disappointing because that was one of my favorite places in Danville...
