Shirley T’s — Restaurant in Danville

This place is horrible! The food was gross. The mashed potatoes and gravy was yuck. Which was cold instant potatoes. The stewed tomatoes was bitter and cold. Mac & cheese was cold and hard. We had to wait 50 minutes to get chicken, they had run out. Had no sweet tea was making it and we didn’t receive it until we was ready to walk out the door. Because of my love of down hm cooking, I asked the locals for suggestions & it seems (fairly new) Shirley T's was THE PLACE that kept coming up, which did not disappoint. Order the meatloaf entree with mash potatoes/gravy and collard greens. If I pay $20 for a meal, I would like real potatoes instead of instant potatoes. Greens and gravy was bland. Mearloaf was very greasy. They need to pour some of the oil when they take it out the oven. Cornbread, and tea was good. Lastly the staff was in chaos taking orders.
