Beware of the owner, Teddie. “I’m sorry you feel that way,” is the classic response to accept no responsibility for your actions. Our server was lovely. The ham was not hot, just warm and definitely not up to temp. The server fixed it with no fuss. Upon walking to the front to render payment, the owner apologized for the ham, to which I shrugged and asked “how about the table?” We were three, with a table set with 3 chairs squeezed at an angle flush to the false wall that leads to the upper section. My chair was left with little room to scoot back without being in the stairs to go up to the aforementioned upper section. There was an open table against the wall that had been cleaned just before he, teddy the owner walked up back and sat us in the uncomfortable seat. His assertion was that the table wasn’t cleaned when he sat us and that is just not true. The table in front of it was missing when we walked back because it was being used by a nice large family who sat next to us. All that aside, as a proprietor, to take the time to couch a dismissive insult in an apology is arrogant and lazy. Nevertheless, as the owner, you have that right. The right he doesn’t have is to behave in an uncouth manner to others when there was no disrespect towards him. Evidently, it speaks to his character, that like the ham steak, was lukewarm. If I am to hazard a guess, he is unaccustomed to being challenged in his domain, being called on a technicality in front of his subordinates, which is unbecoming of an individual of his status and wealth. It could be that I was dressed down to his standard, wearing gym shorts and a hoodie in December weather, taking me for riffraff— another guess. The waitress still got 20% because she was good. I hope he doesn’t mistreat her for his embarrassment. I’m sure the staff will have a laugh...
Read moreI ordered breakfast for mothers day for my wife. I understand they were probably more packed than usual that day which is why i ordered much earlier before i wanted the food. I get it, most folks due takeout or dining so definitely understood the business. So i did an online order at 730am. I got an email saying it'd be ready at 8. I showed up at 805am. I was right, it was busy. Ordered wasn't ready, no biggie. There are about 7 people waiting near the front door. One of the employees says 5 minutes. It's now about 820am and i check in again.. Now another employee says they didn't see the ticket and should be ready soon.. umm ok. By now numerous people have come in and got their orders and they have come bac because their orders were messed up. So now even more people waiting and jammed near the front door. Now its 840am and check in with another employee and they say not yet.. ok... Finally at 9am i asked again the owner (Ria?) and she went in back and came out with a bag 5-10 minutes later. So i spent an hour just standing there being told different versions of what is going on with my food. Ria said to call back and she would comp the meal. So i called back a couple days later, she said she doesn't know what happened with the refund but will look into it. Here we are 2 weeks after and still nothing. So going to put in a claim with my cc company. I was fully prepared for a busy day but not expecting dishonesty regarding updates. Just tell me its going to be a while from the start, no harm no foul and ill cancel my order so i dont spend an hour + wasting my time. Maybe I'll update this when i hear back from Ria? I doubt it though given...
Read moreI drove from the city to visit my cousin for breakfast who had just moved to town, we decided to try this place out for breakfast. The food was great, but the service I felt was poor. My waitress was "Evelyn20", it felt like she just wanted to rush us the entire time. It's a shame because I am a good tipper and still left 25% because I know how tough it can be in the service industry. Yet she wasn't too pleasant so it prompted me to leave this review. She took our order and halfway through our meal brought over the check when we weren't ready for it nor asked for it. Our water jug was empty and my coffee mug went unfilled the rest of the hour we were there. She never checked up on us for the rest of the day after dropping the check and attending to the new tables. I had to signal over to the manager just to get one refill on my coffee. I noticed the other waiters walking around with mugs refilling their tables so I'm sure not everyone is like that there. She also never asked if we wanted a box for our food and after some attempts I couldn't flag her down and just left the rest of my food there. She didn't even say thanks or good bye. Not sure why the rush either, there were plenty of empty tables at 2pm. Diners in the city have more of a homely breakfast feel about them, I felt like these folks didn't want our business and I didn't...
