Terrible Starbucks experience. First I ordered a cappuccino. It was with 2% milk because I forgot to mention my milk preference. I was ok with that but the cappuccino was more like a latte with a big dab of foam on top, kinda flat. I didn’t want a ton of milk so went back in, told her I didn’t like it because of too much milk and I’d like cortado instead, hoping it would be equal parts of espresso and milk. I took the lid off so she could throw the cappuccino away and see I had only taken one sip. The cup was filled to the top. She then charged me or the cortado. While the barista was making the drink, I let her know that I had worked for Starbucks for 10 years and was curious when the policies had changed on customer dissatisfaction and having to pay for a second drink. She wasn’t aware of any policy changes. The cortado came out like an 8oz latte mostly filled with milk again. As a former Starbucks manager, would apologize remake their drink for free AND give them a recovery coupon for a free drink at any Starbucks. I would them assure them, they could always feel comfortable to let us know if the beverage was less than perfect and we’d always remake it. I’d tell them you can use this coupon at any Starbucks but we hope you’ll return to our store where we’ll always make sure you leave with the best drink ever! My customers would tell me they pass other Starbucks to get to mine! I’m used to a friendly staff and delicious espresso. I was surprised I didn’t find that here. I went to another...
Read moreI've visited a few Starbucks nearer to my home recently for a small treat prior to going home to sleep. I needed the same after a meal nearby at an establishment on 53rd street, so I drove across the road to this Starbucks. I hadn't visited in a while (I have little reason to be over here most of the time) but really needed that nightly tea.
This Starbucks is starkly different from the other two I've visited. Most striking is the general brightness of this space. Not only is there a white drop ceiling, but I swear there are more recessed and accent lights throughout. Between the softer colored wood tables, mostly white walls, and light grey 1 inch tiled backsplash behind the counter, the whole look works. I almost like it more than the Middle Road location. Almost.
I opted for a green tea and a few vanilla bean scones on this trip. All were of the expected and enjoyed quality of a Starbucks, no complaints here. I'm not a tealitist - I'm totally fine with Teavana. The Emperor's clouds and mist I had tonight was solid!
I'd mention the artwork on the walls here is near identical to the prints on the walls of the Starbucks on Kimberly and Elmore. Not an issue for me - it's good artwork both there and here. It's just an interesting detail now that I noticed it and I feel compelled to share that factoid here.
I'd come back here again if I were in the area. I'm not around here frequently, but I'd come back. Thanks...
Read moreThere are two little brunette girls, and they are awesome. My drinks are always on point when they are making the drinks and they're very nice.
However, I've had multiple bad experiences. One girl gave me an attitude when she didnt pay attention to the 1 of 2 items on the labels. I had one drink and had to say something to get my second drink after waiting a while for it. The girl was really rude about it too.
Another incident where I only received one drink, I sat down waiting for the other when the barista asked me what I was waiting for; I told her about the other drink and she abruptly says I dont have that drink. She had put it in the drive thru and gave me a 'tude about it. *itch!!!!!!
Another time they gave me the wrong tea and when I came back later to get the right one, this guy took the watered down tea (as it had been hours until I could come back) and poured it into another cup then handed it back to me. Say whhat?
Lastly, I came in when and there was a line wrapped around the building and a guy (gray hair) is bleaching the frappuccino sink. SMH. Talk about...
