Little Japan Restaurant — Restaurant in Davie

I just had the worst experience at Little Japan Restaurant. My coworker and I decided to try this restaurant for some sushi. My coworker ordered the Bomb roll and I ordered the California rolls.

Both my co-worker and I were dissatisfied with the food. The food was just thrown together. My California rolls were not fresh. My co-worker threw her food away but I decided to take mine back and ask for a refund.

When I entered the restaurant the young woman asked me what was wrong. While I was in the process of explaining to her, the owner interrupted and rudely asked what was the problem. I continued to speak to the young woman and wanted to speak low to be courteous of those eating at the restaurant for lunch.

The owner was unprofessional and stated I am no longer welcome into his restaurant after he provides me the one-time refund and stating he has been in business for 20 years and never has had a complaint.

He continued to over talk me. I told him he was rude and would never worry have to worry about me returning to his place of business again.

I don’t know if it he was having a bad day, or because I was a woman or a person of color but the way he spoke to me was unnecessary and unprofessional. I entered the restaurant with no intentions of insulting anyone. All I wanted to do was receive a refund for food that was not of good quality to me. I should have went to Publix for their sushi or waited to go to Sushi -n- Thai located on...

From the moment me and my boyfriend walked in, we experienced horrible customer service. We didn't know whether we were supposed to sit anywhere or wait to be seated. I was extremely hungry and decided to seat myself at the first table I saw (which was a little less dirty than the others). After we sat a lady came and immediately began cleaning the table and apologized for the mess. Okay, that was fine. But then, we ended up waiting another 10 mins for someone to come over to take our drink orders (which we really just wanted water!). We immediately told the waitress our order since we looked online before we got here. I thought the water would make it out to our table before the food, but I was wrong. They came out at the same time. Why did this place go so bad. Last two times we had takeout my wife and I threw it away. Should of went back last night but we are not so close. Salad was old and ginger dressing was all water no ginger. My rainbow roll had so little sushi across top and tasted and smelled fishy. It had all white fish, tiny piece or two of suns and no salmons. The whole roll was small. The last thing you want at a sushi restaurant. My wife dragon roll was similar. We had same experience last time but gave them one more try. Prior to these visits we were a 1-4 times a month customer.
