Came here because the reviews were good. To start off, they have a sign in front that says they are understaffed, which is understandable in today's climate. However, if I were a business owner and were understaffed, I wouldn't seat so many people if I couldn't provide good service. And having worked in a restaurant at one point in my life, I'd hate to have to provide service to so many people as one person.
Upon being seated, I waited about 10 minutes just to be greeted. I ordered a soda and was given a cup that was visibly dirty, had what looked like a dead fly on the inside of the glass, and had a ring around the bottom. I asked for a new glass and never received one so I drank my soda out the can, not a huge deal.
After ordering, food came relatively quick, but the calamari was not worth $16, nor were the 6 garlic knots for $9. I ordered my favorite dish; chicken parmesan, and that really sealed the deal for me. I was shocked having just looked at it. It looked like frozen Tyson's chicken cutlet from the store sprinkled with shredded cheese and store bought sauce, just as it would be made at home with little effort, and of course, it tasted just like it. And for $22, this was outrageous. They didn't bring any plates to the table so we ate our appetizers over the table, and was not even given a knife for the chicken. I sent it back, which I will rarely ever do, but there was no way I was paying $22 for that meal.
This was a very disappointing dinner. Terribly overpriced for poor service and subpar food, and will not be returning here. Two stars because at least the calamari and garlic knots were okay, but not good enough...
Read moreThe food is always good and the service great. That being said, we went last night (party of six) for the "All you can eat gnocchi' and were told there are 7 sauces: one of them being the "chef's special: with smoked salmon. Well, 2 hours later and still no "chef's special" appeared. When we asked about it, we were told it was "coming several rotations later". We had had 6 types and were awaiting the coveted 7. That is CRAZY! There was a line of people waiting to be seated and here we were, a party of 6, waiting for the "special" gnocchi! Let's get things clear: the gnocchi are very good but one should NOT need to sit for SEVERAL hours to finally get to the treasured special. As a business owner, you need to turn tables over! It is NOT "all you can eat" it is a spoonful at a time, the sauce that you get (often duplicates) and basically a "take it or leave it attitude". They served 1 version that i thought I would really like so when the waiter put 6 gnocchi on my plate i asked for a little more and he said "sorry, I can't". After over 2 hours we did speak to a manager but did not get a satisfactory answer. . 1/2 our party left, including me (who paid the bill) and 1/2 stayed determined to try the 1 sauce they were hiding. Look, in today's economy many places would love a party of 6 that orders 7 meals (we also ordered pizza), alcoholic drinks, and tips well. I would hate for last night's experience to stop me from going back but I also hate being...
Read moreAbsolutely dreadful service! I went there several months ago with my family. We were a group of 8, so we called ahead and asked the host to put us on the list. Once we got to the restaurant, we spoke to the same hostess, and checked in. She stated that she hear we were a table of 7, so we would not fit in the table for 8. As a restaurant manager myself, I was confused on the sizing of their tables, so she explained to me that the table “is meant for 6, 7 people would be very uncomfortable, so 8 would not fit”. I started wondering why they would place a group in a table they knew they would get complaints on, and that’s when we should’ve left, but my mother and aunt insisted they wanted to dine there. So we asked if we could have a look at the table, and decide if we would wait for a larger table or not. The hostess happily walked us over, where the manager met us and his remark to the situation “hurry up! We have a lot of people waiting for tables”. To my disappointment we stayed to try and please my mother and aunt, the service we got after that was mediocre. We had to ask the server for utensils, she forgot to bring items we had asked for... all things I would’ve overlooked for the truest delicious tasting pizzas. But I could not overlook a manager being rude to his clients. This place will not be seeing me again, and judging by other reviews, that manager is the one bad apple ruining it for...
