Just came by at MacDo today, Wednesday, Sep 4, 2019 is the opening day! The drive thru line was fairly long, but moved quickly. I really wanted to see the inside so I parked the car and went inside. It wasn't crowded, the line to the drive thru threw me off, I guess folks just wanted to stay in their vehicles? I was checking out the place, nice and modern, combo of industrial look and mid century? I did look lost and the young lady who worked there said she can take my order at the counter, but I didn't see a menu or anything by her counter for the food selections, this happens to me all the time, I should know the menu by heart, never fails that I forget everything as soon as someone ask me what I want. I told her I wanted to try out the self service area anyway. She pointed out there's one availabe. She was there alongside me and the customers and was so patient and explained the way to order, if it's cash, there's a place to put cash in and take one of the number signs placed by the cash machine. If credit card, there's a card reader, the receipt will have the order #. She said that they are still putting the final touches with the decor and such. It's nice to have you back MacDo. We miss you đ Oh yeah, try not to park near where the drive thru starts since the line of cars will block your way out. I think there maybe more parking spots at the other end, where the end part of the drive thru to pick up your food, Or bike, walk, or have a buddy system. Since they just opened, the crowd...

We went inside to order, but they told us the whole system was down and we could only order through the app. my friends and I placed three separate orders on the app. But the app wouldnât let us choose in-store pickup, so we had to go through the drive-thru pickup.
In the drivethru, we gave them the first two order codes, but before we could give the third one, the employee told us they only take two orders per car and weâd have to go all the way back around for the third. We tried to explain that we were just trying to pick up a mobile order that was already placed, and that it was late and we were starving. He just said âgimme a secondâ and disappeared â then randomly came back and greeted us like nothing happened. We had to ask again, and eventually he got the manager.
The manager stuck to the âcompany policyâ and said we had to rejoin the line to keep âcars movingâ â which makes no sense because making us go around again just added to the line and wait time for everyone. Even when we got to the window, we asked one last time if they could make an exception, since all three orders were already paid for. They still said no.
So we wasted time and gas circling the drive-thru again just to get the last part of our food. It honestly felt like the staff didnât want to help or think through a solution. Completely unnecessary and...

Update: I have not been to MCDs since. I was excited to get some food after Lent was over. This was my first meal after Easter. I was really craving fries and MCDs was my fav. I went through the drive thru and received my order. I went home because I had a second job to go to. I was quickly eating and saw something dark near the bottom of the container. At first quick glance-- I was just thought it was one of those burnt bits. I poured out some more fries to find a large dead fly -- fried to a crisp. I immediately dropped the food and could not stomach it anymore. I couldn't leave because I was working and wrote a complaint to corporate. They wrote back saying that my complaint was sent to the regional manager. Weeks later, I received a generic letter thanking me for my comments. That was it. I know it's hard to control everything, but I felt like this was a serious lack of quality control. I was hoping that they would have improvements to prevent this but who knows.
