First off i would like to start with the fact that ive been coming here since they opened. I order from this restaurant on average once a week. I order one of 3 items and have been since i started coming here. This evening i ordered food to pick up on my way home from work and upon getting home after picking the food up i noticed that there was a foreign ingredient in the item i had ordered. So after 10 minutes of driving home and realizing that my order was incorrect due to there negligence i called the restaurant and asked what they could do for me. They instantly said we could remake it. Well at this point i wasn't going to risk another mess up. So i asked for them to refund my order to my card due to the time and like i had said earlier i didnt want to risk another mess up. So I proceeded to be put on hold and after roughly 5 minutes of waiting the waitress said that she could only offer me a 20% off discount on my next order or i could bring the food back for a full refund so purely out of principal i drove the 10 minutes back up there to give the food back and get my refund. So as i get to the restaurant the line is literally to the door. I patiently waited another 10 minutes in line to talk to an employee. Once i got to the counter i asked to speak to the manager the employee said "yes let me go get him" so i stood there as the line continued to grow waiting again. As the manager came out i politely explained to him how putting foreign ingredients in a dish is a health hazard as a large majority of the general public has food specific allergies. He listened and proceeded to tell me he would give me a gift card to retain my future business. After he had said that he dismissed himself and walked in the back of the restaurant. Me patiently waiting for the waitress to give me my "giftcard" she apparently could not figure how to load a gift card with my order amount. So after 5 minutes of not being able to figure the system out she started helping the people in line behind me and left me standing there. After her helping 3 other people i asked for her to take my name and number so i could leave and go get my food order from another establishment. She took my information apologizing while another waitress told her not to apologize to me like i was the one in the wrong. So i politely walked out with what had felt like a complete loss of time ,food and energy. Moral of the story is in retail the customer is always right just smile and use your manors regardless of the situation. Be a decent human being even if you are flustered and upset with situation because you never know what your peers are going thru. I'm not going to bash the establishment but i am upset with there managing skills and staffs reaction to a customers complaint. This is the reason i give them 2 stars. Had a great past but i think it is time for me to venture out and find another coney style restaurant and take a break from...
Read moreI don't even want to give these theives one star at this point but I have to. So, we placed a take-out order last Tuesday night (July 30th) around 9:15pm. The order was accepted online and paid for. My husband went to pick up our family's late dinner, which easily could have been made before closing) and was told the restaurant had cancelled our order because it was "too late and they were closing". No courtesy call or email to inform us of this cancelation either. While he was there he was told the charge ($46) would be refunded. Ffwd to Saturday (August 3rd) and it went from pending in our bank account to an actual charge. I went to the restaurant that morning to speak to a manager about said charge and she wasn't there, but the young lady that I spoke to told me that she had called the manager (Jasmine) and she said she would give me a call the next day to get the refund done. Sunday comes, no call. Monday - no call. So I call up there today (Tuesday the 6th - a week after they charged us for food we did not receive) and again she's not there but "will contact me tomorrow". The lady I spoke to today seemed to be aware of this ongoing situation and assured me that Jasmine will be in touch tomorrow. This is unacceptable all the way around! 1, we should have at least got a courtesy call stating that they would not make the order because they were closing in 45 minutes (which is plenty of time to make a few burgers) and been refunded right then and there! 2, when I went to the restaurant and was promised a call regarding them, basically stealing our money, I should have received that call first thing the next day! A business cannot just take your money and give you nothing in return, that is THEFT!! Same concept as if I would have "dined and dashed", its illegal. And this is exactly what Leo's in Davison is doing at this point. They stole money from us, period. We will not be returning, which sucks because we do like their food and eat there quite often, but I will not give any more business to theives! I do not want to (and should not have to) involve my bank with fraud and have to go through the hassle of getting a new debit card because of one restaurant's incompetence, but if I have to I will. And if I do have to take this to my bank I will also be contacting Davison police because theft is theft! It's simple: refund the transaction that you cancelled rather than stealing people's money!...
Read moreI was over charged by $1.00 for ordering a meal the way it comes and the manager refused to correct it.
My husband and I decided to go to Leo’s Coney Island in Davison for breakfast this morning. I ordered the Spinach Feta Skillet. The menu reads “Skillet potatoes, spinach, feta, tomato, and onions topped with scrambled eggs. Served with your choice of toast.” I told the waitress I didn’t want the toast.
When we got the bill, we noticed I was charged an extra dollar for the skillet potatoes. We asked the waitress, she agreed that’s the way it comes and I shouldn’t be charged extra. She asked the manager to take it off the bill and he refused. He didn’t have the guts to come tell us himself. He sent the waitress back to tell us we have to pay the extra anyway. She came back and apologized, saying she wishes she could do something but she can’t.
I couldn’t care less about the dollar. It’s only a dollar. It’s the point, I should not have been charged, and then when called out, the manager refused to make it right. This is not the first time we have been overcharged and/or had an issue with the management at this establishment, but it is the last. We will not be back.
I tried to leave a review on their Facebook page. There is some sort of glitch and it only gives the option to recommend them. Since I can’t leave a review there, I’m posting here to share our experience and tell everyone I do not recommend this Leo’s… Unless you like to be overcharged and disrespected, then this is the...
