It was Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May, and my daughter informed my wife that her friend's family restaurant had just opened. We decided to visit and see how it was. Street parking was readily available, and I believe that was the only parking option.
The restaurant was quite busy, as expected for Cinco de Mayo, but our wait time was only about seven minutes. There's a small section in the front with a few tables and a bar. The patio was open, but it was too chilly for us to sit outside. We were seated in the back area, which had several more tables, so the restaurant has ample seating.
The service was acceptable. Rosa, the daughter's friend, was our server. She was new and a little nervous, but she did well considering the restaurant had only been open for three days. It's a family-owned and operated establishment.
The food was quite good. The only minor issue was that part of our appetizer arrived with our main course, but it was easily resolved. My wife's strawberry margarita was a bit strong, but the food was hot...

I walked into Señor Pig expecting tacos… I left spiritually awakened.
Fran didn’t just serve us — he curated an experience. From the moment he greeted us, it felt like we were the main characters in a Movie. He glided to the table like a swan raised on queso. His recommendations? Flawless. His timing? Impeccable. His energy? Beyoncé-level.
I asked for a margarita, and Fran looked into my soul and said, “I got you.” Moments later, the glass hit the table like Thor’s hammer — powerful, majestic, and dangerously smooth. The food? Incredible. But Fran made it legendary. He checked on us without hovering, cracked jokes that actually landed, and made everyone feel like a VIP.
By the end of the meal, I was ready to name him the godfather of my future children. I don’t know what they’re paying him — but it’s not enough. Protect Fran at all costs. Build a statue. Name a street after him. Give that man a cape.
Señor Pig is lucky to have him —...
Read moreWe came here when it opened on or before cinco de mayo and it was great. We loved the food, service and everything. I told them that if they stayed consistent they would do great. Well, we just went for dinner tonight (only 3 months later) and it was bad. Poor service. The server acted like we were bothering her. It was like being in a family’s living room. Six members of the family or employees were having a very loud conversation in the restaurant. One person was laying across the table. Very weird and uncomfortable for us. It was after 5:30pm and we were the only customers. The food was only ok. We felt rushed. No additional drinks or desserts were offered. We just paid and left. There are so many options and I don’t think we will return. We really wanted to support...
