We came across Tuba Baking Co. while searching for food near our Air BnB. This restaurant is a MUST if you’re in the area! We consider ourself foodies and love trying new places/foods. This place was so good, we went back the second day of our weekend trip to try something else.

Food: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Everything is made from scratch and to order.

Between our multiple visits, we tried the: •Laugenbrezel with Beer Cheese (German Pretzel with Cheese) •Goettarezel with Spundekas (Goetta [meat & grain] Cheese Stuffed Pretzel with Cheese Sauce) •“Toast Hawaii” Flammkuchen (Wood-fire Hawaiian Flatbread) •Karrote Currywurst with Pomme Frites (Curry Carrot with House Fries) •Schnitzel with Spätzle (Breaded Fried Chicken with Noodles) •“Swabinatian” Spätzle (Cincinnati Style Lentil Chili over Noodles) •Quarkkuchen mit Mandarinen (Orange Cheesecake) •Bienenstitch (Bee Sting Cake)

They use a wood-fired oven for a lot of their dishes that really adds to the flavor!

Everything we tried was SO GOOD (which is why we went back the next day) but we enjoyed the Schnitzel with Spätzle, “Swabinatian” Spätzle, Bienenstitch, and Goettarezel with Spundekas best.

They are great with accommodating to various food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. There are options for meat-eaters, vegetarians, and vegans.

Drinks: They offer bottled/can nonalcoholic options, filtered water, several German draft beers, canned/bottled German beers, a couple signature cocktails, and a small liquor selection.

Location: Inside is relatively small with a bar area and three tables to sit it. It’s not loud with blaring music or TVs in the background; great to go and have conversations. We saw a few people working on laptops too.

They have a nice huge outdoor seating area with numerous bench style tables to sit at. Great for groups, singles, couples, and families with kids.

Very clean and well kept.

Staff: AMAZING staff! This is a family owned business. The owners (husband and wife) are there all the time, both working in the front and back. Genuinely nice people. Every other staff member we came across was also amazingly friendly and helpful. They remember faces and generally want to get to know their customers.

Service: Food was prepared and served in a timely manner. No issues...

This is a restaurant that is well worth the stop. The food is phenomenal. I had the Schnitzel Sandwich, potato salad and sauerkraut and my fiancé had an order of the Curry wurst. The potato salad was nice and and light and the fries that came with the Currywurst were cooked perfectly. The sauerkraut was unlike another I have had before and again was light with a tart pop of flavor to finish. The wurst was a healthy portion, larger then any other place I've been to before and the curried ketchup is made in house with a well balanced flavor. The Schnitzel Sandwich was the highlight of out meal. The schnitzel is chicken making it easy on the stomach with a fantastic sourdough breading that was not soaked in oil. The red cabbage on the sandwich popped with a slightly sweet profile and adding the dusseldorf mustard and and earthy spice to compliment it. The house made potato buns are dense but remain fluffy and absorb overpowering flavors to make a beautifully balanced sandwich.

Service was also excellent! The staff and ownership were so kind and friendly. They were happy to answer questions about the menu and mad sure we were taken care of. The food came out in a timely manner, was presented nicely and the beer selection was excellent.

This will become a regular stop for me and I suggest it become one of...

I will admit it has been awhile since I’ve been to Tuba but I will say that when it comes to craving pretzels, Tuba does it right. The owners are amazing people who are very passionate about the food they serve. They are very much a “buy local” restaurant and whatever is not made in-house is sourced from local vendors. The Swabian style pretzels are fantastic. The unique shape allows for you to get both fluffy, soft bits of pretzel along with a thinner crunchier portion as well. Let’s talk about mustard. Drew, the owner, makes his own and I swear it’s some of my favorite mustard on the planet. I buy it in bulk to make my deviled eggs with as well as put it on all the sandwiches. ALL of them. You may say, “well who has a favorite mustard? I don’t even like mustard!” Then I would say, “me. I have a favorite mustard and I get it at Tuba...

This is a little resteraunt in Dayton KY along the river, right across from Cinci. They specialize in German food and beers. Four of us came on a busy friday night with a dog and sat on their patio. The patio is a seat yourself and order at their counter situation. Staff warned food was at least an hour wait but we had time, grabbed some Kölsch beers and found a table quickly after. We grabbed a pretzel and pretzel balls and both were good. The full pretzel was better and probably the best pretzel I have ever had by a long shot. The food came out shortly after and the kielbassa, sausages and kraut we got were German comfort food perfection. I recommend this down to earth spot but be prepared for a wait with some beers.

Just visited for the first time and my husband and I enjoyed it. The inside area is very small, so we opted to sit outside. The weather was hot at 85 degrees but their patio is tented with an industrial fan that wasn’t too windy to enjoy your food. Not sure what the experience is like if it’s actually cold outside tho. We ordered a pretzel with beer cheese and dusseldorf mustard, and we each ordered a different type of späetzle with schnitzel. Out of the two, we both preferred the Käsespätzle with either schnitzel. The food was very tasty, and my only complaint is that they use plastic silverware.
