Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Dayton

It's 9pm on a Friday night, with friends over: I went through the "less than enjoyable" long process of figuring out what everyone wanted. We decided Papa John's. Then everyone had to settle on what they wanted to eat. Finally, I placed the order on the my app, and when I got all the way to the end at the "confirm payment" screen...a box pops up and says [Store unavailable.] WTH??? So, I called the store. I was told that the manager had just turned off the order capability because they were going to have their floors cleaned. 🤔Ok. So I'm glad for clean floors....but why would a business (manager) have that done on a busy Friday (or Saturday, or Sunday) night. Why not on a Tuesday night or Wednesday night??? And why not have it done in the middle of the night, after closing (like other businesses do)??? Not smart and not good...

Pizza is always great! Customer service.... not so much. Ordered a delivery pizza and spoke with Alyssa. She took my order, there was a lot of background noise in the background. People laughing and talking really loudly. She asked me for my card number. After I gave that to her, she proceeded to ask for Exp date and code on back. Then asked for the zip code. I told her what it was and then she hung up. Called back and she answered “hello.” And I asked if everything was good because she hung up without telling me how much delivery time and if my card went through. She said “do you need to change something?” I said no. And she said, “okay, bye.” And hung up. Not very good customer service with this...

I placed an order on the mobile app, and part of my order was cheese sticks with garlic sauce instead of pizza sauce. Almost every single time I’ve ordered this in the past I ended up with pizza sauce despite my specifying garlic, so I decided to call them just to reiterate my order (I’m sure it’s super easy to overlook so I wasn’t calling to complain, I just wanted it right this time). The guy who answered the phone was very friendly, my order was done super quickly, and they even gave me extra cheese and some extra garlic sauce for free. Great customer service...
