If I could give this place 0 I would and it’s simply because of the people that work there. Don’t ask for help or questions from any of the managers or workers they will all immediately treat you like your the problem and like your a burden. I love Dave and busters and I return for the games but I dread having to ask any of the workers in Daytona for help. The first time I went there I was with my friend we were the only 2 people at the bar and the manager and one of the bartenders were having a conversation behind the bar, they ignored us for atleast 10 minutes even after we asked for help, they just continued to talk and side eye us and it was a really bad vibe. When the bartender finally came over to us we told her we weren’t planning on getting drinks or anything we just wanted to get the service worker card because we are also bartenders. She told us we had to make a purchase in order to get the free card which I knew was not true because we came the week before and me and my friends got one without any type of trouble from the only nice bartender there. After I told her I was confused because I never had to purchase anything before she said “I don’t know what you want from me you can talk to my manager” I was so confused because I couldn’t even ask her a question without immediately getting basically jumped at so then the manager comes over and tells me I don’t have to make a purchase and he was confused to why she told me that and got me the card right away. That’s only one experience but the next time I had a coupon for 100 free tokens because we go so often and I was trying to redeem them at the bar. I’m not even joking as I was walking up to the empty bar the bartender rolled her eyes and started shaking her head so obviously at us we were the only ones there we were like okay. Then we asked her for help and she grabbed her “AGM” When she gave me the card with the tokens I was really confused because when I went to play games it showed as a timed play card and wouldn’t let me earn tickets. So I went back to the bar to ask and as I was walking up the bartender again looked at me and shook her head and I told her that my coupon was supposed to be 100 tokens and not a timed play and I was just confused. She grabbed the manager and I tried to tell her that I was confused about my card because it was showing as a times play and not a ticket winning card the manager immediately cut me off and said “I don’t know it’s just the coupon that you gave me” I kind of stood there in silence cause I was like really like even the manager is gonna act like this. I asked her if I could walk her over and show her what was going on because she wasn’t listening and didn’t want to help me even though there was absolutely nobody there. When I asked her if I could show her so maybe she could help she said “you can show me but I can’t do anything about it” so I walked her over and I showed her and she said “I don’t know what you want me to do it’s just the coupon you gave me, if that’s what it says then that’s what your coupon did” I was so confused so I asked if she could help us figure it out even though there was nobody around she repeated herself louder “I don’t know what you want me to do ma’am it’s just the coupon you gave me” to make it seem like I was trying to like argue and I wasn’t I was just literally trying to get help and figure out why my 100 token coupon turned into a timed play. So then I asked her “well is there someone else that might be able to help us out” and she said “sweetie, I’m the A GM what I say is what you get” my boyfriend had to be like “okay thanks” because she was just being no help and giving us such a hard time and we left in confusion. All of this was so unprofessional and uncalled for and and I can’t imagine going back to a place that encourages so much immediate hostility. Just use the machines play your games and leave anybody who works there will make sure you leave feeling their superiority complex and...
Read moreIf I can leave 0 stars, I would. I came to Dave and Busters in Philadelphia 23 years ago for the first time with my family. It was an amazing experience back then back when it was pretty new. This one is just awful. Very small and it just seems like a complete ripoff! IT'S A TRAP! You pay 3 bucks per card right off the bat! You used to have the option of actual coins. Disappointing that you're forced to buy each card fee. Majority of the games don't really show what to do. That's a trap because by the time you got it down, it's over. Reminds me of a casino, which I would understand if you're winning money but you're only winning tickets to get REALLY sad prizes. The prizes when they first opened were actually really awesome. Now.... ridiculous! Thousands of tickets for extremely small prizes. I'm really surprised this place is still doing any kind of profitable business. Stay away from those coin drop machines. Another trap! The coins that fall, you don't get to use but only once. So that second shot, you can't use what's fallen. Just disappointing. The corn hole game didn't give me back the bean bags (they got stuck) so I didn't get to use them all on my second throw. I did say something but got nothing for that. Some games that look like you can play together as a family, you actually can't. No where does it say you can't be on a team together. If you can't, it should be noted. Don't even get me started on the axe throwing game. What a joke that is. That was a waste of points. This place was overall very disappointing. Nothing like the commercial or the experience I had back when they first opened. It's all about taking every dollar you want to spend as fast as they can. Oh, and do any actual adults work there? I get it, it's an arcade but no one on the floor was "working". These kids are getting paid to have...
Read moreI went to eat at Dave & Busters with my family the other night and was very excited to enjoy my night. The server came to the table and I quickly understood she was not enthusiastic about serving our table. (As a server myself I know this often happens when servers hear another language spoken and assume they will not be tipped well) There were people at the table who did not speak English and I had to order drinks for them, she looked very irritated and like she just did not want to be there… before I could finish my order she was walking away from the table. When she would bring drinks or food she would quickly throw them down without looking us in the face and run off as if she were busy. It got to the point where although there is a language barrier, my family felt that she did not want to serve them. The manager Sue is incredible, she came to the table many times to check on us… she even checked on us more than the server did. That is why I am giving 3 stars for service. We decided to not say anything because we wanted to enjoy our night and had consumed a few drinks and felt that it wasn’t the right time. As a server I ALWAYS go above and beyond to tip well at any restaurant I eat at. I only tipped her 9$ on 150$ because of how bad her treatment was. She wouldn’t bring back the change so I just let her keep it. As it says on the receipt … tip should be adjusted based on the service that was received and that is what we did. This incident will not stop us from coming back to D&B because we love the food , drinks and atmosphere, plus the management is great. We just will not be served by...
