I preordered 2 dozen doughnuts online on 8/24/2023 at 9 pm. They were ordered for Saturday 8/26/2023. When I realized on Friday 8/25/2023 that I accidentally ordered them for the wrong day, I called immediately and asked to speak with someone so I could change the date to 8/27/2023. The girl I spoke with told me I didn’t have an order there and that she couldn’t locate my order. I assured her I did in fact order $51.01 worth of doughnuts and I have email validation. She still proceeded to tell me I was wrong and I had no order. I became extremely frustrated and asked to speak to anyone other than her, because she didn’t really seem like she knew what she was doing or talking about. She informed me, she was the only manager on duty. I said said “ Wow. However that may be, I need to speak to someone other than you because I am paying a lot of money and I am calling the day before you make them, and I need to know that they will be made for the new time I am asking for or I will just take a refund.” She said she was calling the owners. I remained on hold for that time she spoke with them. She then told me that when you order online, they don’t see it until the day of ordering and that they would fix it in the morning. She said the owners would be in and handle it. I called the next morning and spoke with a gentleman. I asked if he knew that I needed the doughnuts for tomorrow and he said yes, they’re right here. So I asked if they made the doughnuts and he retracted that statement and said no. I told him I didn’t want old doughnuts and that I called Friday to change the date. I go to pick them up today and the doughnuts were in fact old and not fresh. I have ordered them online before and never had an issue. Today when I picked up my doughnuts the bottom of the box was cold and heavy. When I went to serve the doughnuts they have already crumbled inside the box, completely falling apart, and were sticking to the bottom of it. I have never been so disappointed with them in my life. Read more1- Google does not know where the driveway is so on the 3rd circle around I found it. 2-A young lady at counter with mask on was very polite, explained everything to me but another employee, an older woman, stepped up and was rude to me and the young woman. I had never been there. Was happy to have a donut shop, I stepped as far away from counter as I could because the older woman did not have her mask on properly, entire nose and upper lip exposed. I ordered a dozen donuts so we could try them. However they are fry cakes - not donuts, like pastry ones. I had ordered a coffee. I asked the counter woman to please wear her mask correctly covering her mouth and nose when she made my coffee. I said I have COPD and am careful where I go. I never saw counter woman put on gloves, wash or sanitize hands after handling card or other cash. The counter woman was struggling to make my coffee. A dozen completely different donuts were cooked and glazed, frosted and decorated before she even got the coffee brewed. The younger woman doing donuts had entire area cleaned. Sanitized and ready for the next order and my cup of coffee still was not finished. Overall fry cakes a better after they cool off, the grease soaks into the cardboard box. Read moreWe went into Duck Donuts and waited in line to get some donuts behind a couple that was ordering in front of us and my husband was speaking to the young lady about what goes on some of the donuts he was interested in. When we got up to the cash register, the young man turned and walked away and then came back a minute later and told us that he was sorry to disappoint us, but that they were no longer taking donut orders for they day. Wait, what??? We were in the store before it closed (not knowing the time it closed when we walked in), waited in line and spoke to other employees and we get up to place an order, and we are told that you are no longer taking orders. The building was full of people when we walked in and no one said a word to us about closing and we waited for over 5 minutes before we were told. I did contact the store via email as instructed on the website to find out what the issue was and to understand what happened and that was on the 20th of June. I received an email letting me know that someone would get back with me as soon as possible. Well, it has been a week ago today, and I have not heard a word from anyone. I just think it is horrible customer service. I in no way think that my review will stop anyone from going in the store, but I feel we were treated poorly, and that does matter to me.
